I am 40+5 with my first.
Just had midwife appointment that I had been dreading all day, to be told my cervix is posterior and she was unable to reach it especially as baby’s head is so low.

I’m booked in to be induced next Friday, but wanted to know if anyone’s had similar experience..
did you go into labour naturally?
And if so, How long after your unsuccessful sweep?

Following closely as I had exactly the same situation today at my sweep!

Not quite the same but with my son the midwife said there was no point in even attempting a sweep because he wasn't engaged (I'd decided I didn't want one anyway as I figured he'd come if he was ready). I had my induction booked for the Saturday when I would have been 13 days overdue but went into labour naturally on the Wednesday and had my son on the Thursday 11 days late. So there's still time!

I had a sweep but she only managed to massage the cervix, she then did another one 2 days later and managed to do a full sweep, I went into labour in the early hours of the following morning! Fingers crossed for you! Xx
