what the size of their yolk sac was at roughtly 6w?! It's a random one I know but my bloomin doc has said mine is too big and I'm really upset and worried. He reckons it increases the chance of mc.
So just wondered if anyone knew their measurements?
My ges sac is 11mm
Baby is 4.6mm
Yolk sac is 6mm

Does that sound normal/abnormal to anyone?!

Would really appreciate any advice you can give me. Going for another scan in 2 weeks but as I'm sure you can imagine, it's a long wait!

Thanks

Should maybe also add that we did see a heart beat which I thought was a great sign but doc told us we still shouldn't be telling anyone just yet just in case!
Not the most reassuring man in the world!

Oh blimey, I'm sorry I have no idea. Hopefully someone will be along soon.

And even though it may increase the risk of mc, it doesn't mean you will mc. Stay positive xx

Thanks Coleyboy. I'm trying my best cause he still gave me 80% chance of everything being fine, but of all the things I thought I'd have to worry about this was not one of them!

My yolk sac was 6.3mm at 10 weeks 3 days. Other measurements were;
Ges sac: 42mm
Amniotic sac: 37.3mm
Crown-rump length: 38.9mm

Hope this may help as a comparison. My doctor was happy with all of the above measurements as "normal". I know how you feel about the wait as the reason I had an early scan was due to bleeding and they found a haematoma (blood clot) and I was told to wait for two weeks and have to go for a scan on Monday! Try and keep positive, it's really hard and I've felt like it's been the longest two weeks of my life!

Good luck with everything

Thanks so much for taking the time to to that Clapham Lauren. It looks like your sac is only fractionally bigger than mine and the rest is much bigger - which would suggest my doc was right.
But it's good to know cause I don't know whether to believe him or not.
It is such a long wait - and spending it scanning the internet for info makes it pass even more slowly!

Thanks I liketosleep but according to the many websites I've been on the biggest it should ever get is around 6mm - and that would be at 10 weeks. So not looking good. Am feely pretty terrible now to be honest. Keep telling myself that if it goes wrong we'll just try again but the thought of losing this one is horrendous.
