Labour stories with gradual plug loss?

Hi all,

Can anyone advise on plug loss?

I lost my plug in one go with my first born and she was born very quickly after.
But this times it's been coming away very slowly for the past 3 days.

If you lost your plug gradually, how long did it take and how soon did you go into labour?

Hey @Engard I actually lost my plug during labour, not a thing before. I remember being in labour and going “what on earth is this?!” 😂

With my 1st two I never lost it (must of come away in labour) as I never seen it. With this one I was loosing it for weeks in bits and I had my baby on Wednesday at 38+3 so I wouldn't relie on it being anytime soon but everyone is different.

We got told in nct that if you lose your plug or waters break you should phone and let midwife or triage know as you could get an infection?

I havent got there yet so just letting you know incase advice has changed since your first.....

I've been losing mine for 5 days so far. It's just confusing as I lost it last time in labour. Just wish I knew what it meant!

3 weeks i was losing mine with my 2nd child.
Every day I had my hopes up thinking this is it!!!! To then go over by a week 😐😑 41 weeks she was born so this time around when I see that plug coming away I won't get so excited and get my hopes up lol.
Good luck x
