Chiropracter - useful or should I save my money?

I went to a chiropractor early in my pg when I had quite bad back pain. It helped, but now she's saying that she'll need to see me weekly in the latter stages. At 30pounds a go, this isn't really an option. Any thoughts/ experiences to share?

I dont really have any expierence of treatment throughout pregnancy,(this was the only time i didn't have trouble with back) but have been to a chiropractor for the last 6 years (apart from 9 months). I would be lost without him, i agree that it is expensive and seeing yours weekly later on is very excessive. My chiropractor always reckons that if they ask to see you weekly for longer than 4 weeks they are just fleecing you, so to speak. I have to say i trust my chiropractor implicity and would defo go with what he says. Hope this helps, good luck and i hope you don't suufer to much.

i normally see one, but in latter pregnancy couldn't. made me feel extremely dizzy and nauseous and she suggested it was too much on the body, so i put up with the back pain instead.

if you still have bad back pain, and feel you need it, do go, but i'd find someone who lets you decide how often you need treatment. also chiro's aren't one size fits all, so if you think this one is not working for you, don't hesitate to find someone with a different method.

Thanks, girls. Hopefully not fleecing me - saw me for 3 weeks in a row at beginning, now about once a month. Its just the idea of stepping it back up to weekly in the latter stages that is concerning me - had my last pay cheque today, so am now officially a dependent!

I highly recommend it, even if you spread it out over every two weeks. Rather the help now than having to get help later.
