Hi girls!

Recently found out that I’m pregnant and based on my last period I think I should be 4 weeks today! Just wanted to start a thread to see if there’s anyone else who’s in the same boat?

I’m so excited but also extremely nervous about the thoughts of a miscarriage so just wanting to reach out to people who are at a similar stage :)

Thanks! Xx

Hello! I’m also 4+1 weeks, how exciting! Grin

Yes so exciting!! I have some SERIOUS cramping today, I actually feel a bit unwell! Hope it's just my uterus growing...

Hello :) I am 4+5 and time seems to be going so slowly!

Oh hi girls, thanks for replying and congratulations on your BFP’s!

I found out a like 3.5 weeks so feel like I’ve been waiting for ages already but it’s barely been any time at all in the grand scheme of things!

@mimmi91 I’ve read lots of posts about people getting cramps in the early days so I’m sure everything is just fine 😊

Have any of you booked in with the midwife yet, or been to see a doctor to get the pregnancy confirmed? I think I’m getting a bit ahead of myself but just can’t wait!! Xx

@LaurenL7 yes I have ready pretty much everywhere that cramping is normal at this stage... Probably just some ligament pain from the uterus stretching out...

I haven't booked anything yet ; am scared to jinx it! I'll think I'll book something next week or so...

I’m the same! I rang the doctors and they actually said I wouldn’t need to see a midwife until 8+ weeks so there’s still quite a bit of time to wait yet so I guess I’ll ring back a bit closer to.

Have you and any other symptoms? I’m actually quite surprised about how little
I’ve had. I was one of those people who thought I’d ‘just know’ when I fell pregnant but I couldn’t be far from that 😂 My boobs are a little sore and I can’t seem to get full, but that’s about it! X

Same. Currently being investigated for host of weird symptoms though, so still in zone of hoping it's not ectopic rather than 100% excited. Number two DC for me if all okay.

Just turned 43 & found out I'm expecting, I'm 4+3 , I have 4 children age between 7 & 13, hubby has said for the past 2 years about having another child but I didnt want anymore, this being due to having 3 miscarriages approx 3 to 4 years ago & I just didnt want the worry if things repeating themselves, which since finding out 3 days ago I'm just constantly worrying, though finding comfort that I have sore boobs & occasional slight cramp/ stretching , feeling very tired & constantly hungry , I know I'm at the older stage for being pregnant which can cause problems its self im hoping the fact that all my other pregnancies were all fine & no health problems for me that fingers crossed this pregnancy continues the same..

I haven't had many symptoms either! I do feel pregnant though, just because I have quite recurrent weird/painful cramps, which feel very different to AF cramps. Am also super bloated, so I've found myself stroking my belly already!!!
My nipples are also quite sensitive ; but don't think I would've noticed it had I not been TTC...
I have the opposite food problem ; I never really feel hunger, which is very unlike me. I haven't gone off any foods (that I'm aware of), but I feel like nothing I eat tastes amazing (I usually looove eating)... Have to force myself to eat!
Also no nausea yet. Am definitely not looking forward to that... I have suffered from car/motion sickness since I was a child, and if pregnancy nausea feels anything like that, we're doomed!!!! It's bloody awful...

BUT a little baby will be worth it :D

I just came across your post and can see a lot of you are talking about cramps. I'm 17 weeks now and I have had cramps the whole way through! When I first found out at 3+4 they were really bad and I thought my period would start any minute. I'd say as long as there's no bleeding (although this can be normal sometimes too) then there's nothing to worry about 😊 congratulations everyone!

Hi all.
I’m exactly 4 weeks today, I’ve a doctors appointment tomorrow, it was originally booked for to discuss my periods and trying to conceive.

My excitement has just turned into anxiety! Checking every time I go to the loo, hoping everything works out.

My sore nipples have gone and now I just have mild cramps every now and then and more CM..... kind of like when you feel like you’re coming on.

Time is going to slow!

My boobs are a little bit sore and I've been feeling hungry but when it comes to eating an evening meal I can hardly eat anything. I also need to wee a lot! In my previous pregnancy when I had a mmc, I had severe nausea already by this point so the pregnancies feel different symptoms wise so far.

Hey guys!

Congrats :)

I'm also around 4 weeks (I think, it's hard to know as my periods were quite irregular) Finding the cramps quite hard at the moment, luckily I'm self employed as I don't how how I'd go into work at the moment! It's my first so also pretty nervous!

My cramps are pretty much gone this morning (after having some very painful ones yesterday), which now also feels weird/worrisome!! Didn't think I'd keep symtom spotting even after my BFP... I also have bouts of very watery/creamy CM, which also makes me worry that it's blood. But so far so good...

Congratulations all, mind if I join you?

Got my positive on Friday eve, 4+2 today and have tested everydry since 🙈 had really bad cramping last night, woke up feeling fine... Think it could have been trapped wind 💨 Other than that feeling bloated & not enjoying food which is really unlike me, and not fancying sweet stuff at all.

Have a doctors appt on the 20th which was previously booked to speak to them about my periods and trying to conceive - in 2 minds whether to still go or just call and register with the midwife. Read a lot of posts saying doctors aren't overly fussed on seeing you so may be a waste of time.

Agree with you all that time is going super slow, telling my parents on Thursday though!! Xx

Think because of my age ( turned 43 last week) & the fact I've had 4 previous miscarriages I feel the odds are stacked against me in a way, my first pregnancy age 28 was an ectopic, then I had a early misscarriage then went on to have my 4 children, though I have also had 2 miscarriages before my youngest ( soon to be 7) was born, this pregnancy wasnt planned & as much as I'd love another baby it's just the worry of a misscarriage again, one which wasnt straight forward as I ended up with an infection, I'm just taking it ond day at a time .

@francis05 I'm also 4+2 today Grin
I have the same symptoms! Very bad cramping yesterday, but feel totally fine today. Also very low appetite...
And may I ask why you've decided to tell your family this week? I'm so eager to let my mum know (to have her support in case something goes wrong really), but can't decide when is an acceptable time to spill the beans!!

Also - anyone else POAS every morning still? :P I feel a bit crazy, but can't stop!!

Report
francis05 · 14/01/2020 09:58

@mimmi91 i'm only telling my Mum & Dad, other family will leave a few more weeks. I just know I would want the support should anything happen, also my mum has had a tough few months & it's her birthday this week so thought it would be a great present for her.
Also dying to tell my close friends but know I shouldn't 🤐

Yep I'm still dipping internet cheapies every morning! Xx

@mimmi91 I have POAS every morning and evening since I found out but i’ve managed to stop myself today so far... We’ll see how long that’s lasts though 😂

It’s so nice to see so many of you are at the same stage! I’ve been talking to my husband a lot and whilst he’s been great, I just don’t think he quite gets how slow the days are dragging for me!

Seems like loads of you are getting cramps which I’ve read is normal. I haven’t had any though yet, I hope that’s normal too.

@ShellyB43 sorry to hear about your previous miscarriages. Just try and keep in mind that you’ve also have successful pregnancies so there’s every chance this one will be the same 😊 Xx

Hey ladies, I'm 4+3 I'm feeling good, a bit crampy hut hopefully that's normal. I don't really have any symptoms, I did have sore swollen veiny boobs but they are not really sore or swollen anymore, I'm hoping this is all normal tho

Phew, happy to hear I'm not the only one POASing every day... How are you lines progressing?? Mine darken just a little bit day by day ; I can't wait for it to be really dark - I don't know why?!

My cramps are completely gone today, have to admit it feels a bit nicer.

Agree that time goes by sooooo slowly!! How is that even possible?!
Read on an online miscarriage risk calculator ( datayze.com/miscarriage-chart.php ) that the % of miscarriage goes down by a whole 1% each day that passes! So each new day gets us closer to our goal, and further from our fears :)

LaurenL7 · 14/01/2020 14:27

They’re doing ok I think. I convinced myself they weren’t changing at all but then I compared the one I did yesterday to the first one (photo) and it’s soo much darker! Totally know what you mean about wanting the lines to be super dark though I’m exactly the same 😂

Glad to hear you’re feeling much better now. Hopefully your cramps lay off a little while.

Oo those stats are good to know! Keeping my fingers and toes crossed that we all go on to have successful pregnancies!

@Booona19 welcome and congratulations 😊 when did you find out? Xx

@LaurenL7 I found out on Friday, it does feel like longer tho haha. I've a doc appointment today to confirm the pregnancy and get the ball rolling on the front, I might ask for bloods to check my HCG but I'll see what doc says
