False positive?

So I’ve had two like this, the picture has been took seconds after peeing on it, but apparently this could still be a false positive and I might not actually be pregnant... is that really possible?

There should be a paperclip at the bottom of your post which will allow you to attach photos but if you are a new member then you have to wait 48 hours before you can post a picture.

If you have 2 lines (which have colour) and they appeared within the valid timeframe then I'd say that's pretty conclusive.

False positives are VERY rare. However, if the second line is colourless then it could be an evap.

What kind of tests were they and how many dpo are you? X

Aww that will be the problem then, I’m new here haha and the Test line is waaaay darker than the control line, the test line came up as the colour was running through the test but I’m told to not get my hopes up as it doesn’t necessarily mean I’m pregnant.

I think I’m 17 past ovulation, 4 days late from my period but my cycles vary from month to month anyway so lateness never throws me x

I used just one from my local co-op, with two tests. Done one around 5 o’clock yesterday and it was real dark, then again one at 5 this morning when I woke x

I would say congratulations! If the test line is darker it means you have a good number of HCG, maybe even few days more than you think.

Getting a test like that would definitely mean positive, false positives are extremely rare, super rare.

You can book your gp and midwife.

Thankyou!! I really hope so! Really weird as I’ve been getting two periods a month since August, so went to my GP who’s booked me in for an pelvic ultrasound on the 19th and in the back of my mind I was conceived I would go and they’d tell me I have a baby in my stomach, so I reached for a pregnancy test to rest my mind and BOOM lol x

Hopefully the baby will be in your womb rather than your stomach GrinWink

@Shaey12 I was in a similar position, except I didn't have my period regular at all, was waiting for a second scan and gynaecologist in September. I wasn't even TTC but needed to sort out my period as it was creating me issues.

Then end of August did a test because felt like I was pregnant, and I was. I'm 19 weeks now.

Hope all goes well for you and little baby sticks well!
