Kate3150 Sat 30-Nov-19 16:15:57

Can’t believe it, time is going so quick!!!
My little man already feels like he is worming his way out 😂, first time for me so getting used to all these twinges and pains 😬. Anyone else booked in for a section? X

preggers506974215 Sat 30-Nov-19 16:39:37

I'm 37 +2 weeks with my second smile. My first came at 38+5 which I'm hoping happens again. With my first I was fine right to the end I even went into denial I was in labour. I had it in my head you always go over you due date with your first. This time I am really woddling around the baby feels very low and I've been having a lot of Braxton hicks. Midwife confirmed his head is engaged at my last appointment.

preggers506974215 Sat 30-Nov-19 16:40:16

Not booked in for a section are you?

bobble53 Sat 30-Nov-19 16:49:29

I’m 39+3 and not so very patiently waiting 😬

Kate3150 Sat 30-Nov-19 16:53:45

@preggers506974215- ahhh exciting, I get the waddling around 😂. I’m booked in for a section yes in just under 2 weeks.
@bobble53- Woweee really could be any moment for you.... how are you feeling in yourself? X

Blondefancy Sat 30-Nov-19 16:59:38

I’m 39+1 and am having the worst spd pains but can’t stop as have a very active toddler AND a hardcore nesting instinct kicking in hmm have had strong Braxton hicks but not any real cramping or shows so I’m not sure..dd1 was 11 days late and I went into labour following my second sweep so I am seriously hoping that it won’t be the same this time round!!

thisyeargoodyear Sat 30-Nov-19 17:18:41

I am 38+5 today and booked in for an ELCS on Tuesday at 39+1. It can't come soon enough. Baby is engaged and his head is so low that I am in constant pain and struggling to walk. I am not leaving the house now until I go to the hospital - I am just hoping he stays in until Tuesday!

preggers506974215 Sat 30-Nov-19 18:00:06

@Blondefancy I know exactly what you mean with an active toddler. I keep trying to get my DD to have naps again just so I can relax.

Blondefancy Sat 30-Nov-19 19:44:29

@preggers506974215 ha, me too! She stopped napping a few months ago but I try and put her in her cott for some down time once a day..least we don’t have to worry about timing naps?? grin

India999 Sat 30-Nov-19 19:47:25

I'm 38+3 today and have felt brilliant the whole third trimester but it's all crashing down around me now haha.

Just been feeling really teary and low and all of a sudden my groin keeps giving way when I walk/stand up. Has this happened to anyone else? It's like a random pain or compressed nerve and then my leg goes. Might just be the babies head pressing on something.

Eurgh! X

Candystar18 Sun 01-Dec-19 16:16:20

39 + 3 , second baby.

Its so hard not knowing when they will make an appearance especially with all of the twinges etc, i think thats what makes you feel so emotional at the end because your hopefully everyday that today will be the day then it doesnt happen and the sadness kicks in lol

@india999 yes I have had that last couple of weeks, just a few times, it feels like a numbness and tingling sort of and runs down my leg, i think its baby pressing on a nerve... Maybe it means the babies are super low and ready to come out 😊

fonxey Sun 01-Dec-19 18:57:26

38+3, fed up but really need house to get back into order as been doing some minor renovations to hide so house all in upheaval which really makes he feel likes I'm in upheaval and i can't relax.

Bit I'm just wanting a sign or two that body is doing something.. Maybe there are no signs. Just tired of this all.

Kjan Sun 01-Dec-19 19:00:38

OMG I am only 30 weeks and I can’t wait, this baby girl is so heavy I can barely walk, my back hurts whether I am sitting lying down or standing up, soooooo tired 😓

Ilovethekitties Sun 01-Dec-19 19:02:53

38+2 here. My hips, pelvis and back feel like they're constantly on fire. Turning in bed is a nightmare, but apart from that I'm all gravy.

1st baby so I am going to assume that he will be late to the party, but my mucus plug has come out already so who knows.

How did you ladies go about getting an elective c section?

Jellybeans101 Sun 01-Dec-19 19:11:02

38+3 and I feel ok! Just missing sleeping regularly and I’ve got some back ache.. wondering when babs is gonna make an appearance! Excited /nervous halo

AuntieJuice Sun 01-Dec-19 20:00:09

Exactly 38 today and my waters went at 2am. Labour not established in the meantime though - some tightening across bump, quite regular this morning but less so since about 9am - so am booked in for induction at 11pm tonight. Very much the opposite of the birth I'd hoped for, having been keen to get in the water, but just focused on getting baby earthside now smile

Ilovethekitties Sun 01-Dec-19 20:38:47

@AuntieJuice what does the waters breaking feel like? How much was there?

India999 Sun 01-Dec-19 20:55:52

@auntiejuice oooo how exciting! All the best tonight X

Kate3150 Sun 01-Dec-19 20:57:25

@AuntieJuice- Hope all goes well my darling, keep in touch 😚 x

AuntieJuice Sun 01-Dec-19 22:02:14

@Ilovethekitties it was like a pop right down in my lower abdomen, then a lot of gushing fluid 😆 soaked through PJs and sheets, glad I put the waterproof mattress protector on! The pop woke me up and weirdly I knew what it was straight away. Thanks all! Will try and update when there's any news.

ohdearymemumof3 Mon 02-Dec-19 07:01:49

@AuntieJuice i hope your induction went smoothly and you and your sweet baby are fit and well🥰..

Im now 37+2 with baby #3, nesting has kicked in hard, in so much pain constantly! Im having like 3 baths a day just to relieve some pain😫, turning over in bed makes my pelvis feel like its about to crumble!, both my other 2 babys were 6 days late so got a feeling this one will be too😫 wish i knew when it was going to happen, i hate not knowing! X

bobble53 Mon 02-Dec-19 09:24:54

39+5 today and have my 40 week midwife appointment this afternoon. I just want baby to come now! Been feeling so emotional as of late, crying loads but not really sure why! Hormones all over the shop. This is my first baby and it’s so strange to wake up every morning thinking it could be today!

thatwasMauijustmessingaround Mon 02-Dec-19 10:05:17

I'm 38+4 with my first today. Nothing very exciting to report here tho...!

Kjan Mon 02-Dec-19 12:41:14

Just went out from hospital after a 30 weeks scan and they raised that my ammoniac liquid is too important sad
I am seeing the obstetrician tomorrow to put a plan on place and see what can be done. So worried now
Does anyone’s if you had same issue? I know it’s only 1% of the pregnancy that are concerned

forevercurious Mon 02-Dec-19 13:44:53

I’m 38+5 today. feeling pretty good, just tired. First day of maternity leave so enjoying not being at work. I have a stretch and sweep booked in for tomorrow but I’m not hopeful it’s going to work the first time round - I also have another booked in for my due date next week. I really think I’m going to go significantly over due sad

bobble53 Mon 02-Dec-19 14:04:20

Just seen my midwife. Baby is full engaged and perfect position to give birth. Got to go again next week if baby hasn’t been born and they’ll offer me a sweep and book induction. Everything crossed he gets a wriggle on this week and arrives naturally!

fonxey Mon 02-Dec-19 14:16:43

Off to see my mw soon too. Actually i better get ready. It's a teen minute walk but i better give myself half an hour.

I don't feel too positive stress moved into a good position. She was 2/5 two weeks back and she didn't feel like she's gone down, quite the opposite...

India999 Mon 02-Dec-19 14:44:56

@forevercurious how did you get a sweep booked in before your due date? Good luck for it! Fingers crossed for you

Autumntoowet Mon 02-Dec-19 14:51:42

Struggling here 😫

thisyeargoodyear Mon 02-Dec-19 16:45:46

I am 39 weeks today and going in for ELCS at 7am tomorrow. It is all starting to feel very real now and I am busy getting myself organised for
tomorrow. I am so glad baby is nearly here, and I am so surprised that I have lasted to 39 weeks! shock

This is my second child and first one was born via EMCS so hoping for a much nicer experience tomorrow with an easier recovery.

Kate3150 Mon 02-Dec-19 16:47:55

@thisyeargoodyear- Ahhh hope all goes well my darling 😚. Mines next week... I’ve heard great things about ELCS all very calm. Let us know how you and little one are doing X

Spam88 Mon 02-Dec-19 16:55:47

38+4 here and more than ready for baby to make an appearance now. I will actually cry if I go over 😭

forevercurious Mon 02-Dec-19 17:18:23

@India999 I simply requested one, my midwife is lovely and knows I’m scared of going over due so is happy to do one earlier than my due date. I asked expecting the answer to be no so was presently surprised she agreed.

@thisyeargoodyear good luck for tomorrow! smile xx

preggers506974215 Tue 03-Dec-19 07:08:20

Is anyone on here getting Braxton Hicks? I seem to be getting them every night now. They were fairly strong last night I was actually questioning if I was in early labour.

AuntieJuice Tue 03-Dec-19 07:53:38

Just a quick update to say that Baby Juice arrived promptly around 8am on Monday after a speedy induction with the pessary. Both doing well, still in hospital for now just finding our feet. Madam is currently asleep in my lap while I try to eat breakfast, having not stopped feeding most of the night.

Hope all the rest of you are doing well and looking forward to your new arrivals!!

preggers506974215 Tue 03-Dec-19 07:56:41

Congratulations @AuntieJuice lovely news smile

BeginningToLookLikeChristmas Tue 03-Dec-19 08:14:56

Kate3150 Tue 03-Dec-19 08:59:58

@AuntieJuice- Wonderful news- huge congratulations 💜 xx

bobble53 Tue 03-Dec-19 09:11:07

Congratulations!

39+6 and absolutely no sign of baby arriving yet so I’m v.jealous! 😬

India999 Tue 03-Dec-19 09:41:13

@auntiejuice congratulations!

Jellybeans101 Tue 03-Dec-19 14:55:04

@AuntieJuice congratulations!

I went to midwife yday and she said baby isn’t engaged yet.
38+5 so hoping baby gets into position soon!!

thisyeargoodyear Tue 03-Dec-19 23:02:58

Baby boy arrived today by ELCS weighing 9lb 11oz. Everything went great and we are both doing wellsmile The ELCS was a really positive experience compared to the EMCS I had 5 years ago.

Kate3150 Wed 04-Dec-19 05:51:05

@thisyeargoodyear- Ahhh that’s amazing news for me to wake up to! He’s a big boy 😂, did you think he would be around that kind of weight?
So pleased to hear everything went well with c section etc... How does it feel to have him here and not be pregnant anymore?
So many questions lol. Will look forward to hearing from you when poss. Sending lots of love, take care of yourself 😚

thisyeargoodyear Wed 04-Dec-19 07:09:38

Thank you! Yeah I knew he was going to be big - he had been on the 95th centile and his estimated weight at 36 weeks was 7lb 2oz, so was prepared for a 9/10 lb baby. I was fairly shocked though when they said 9 lb 11oz, although he doesn't look this big which is good.

First night went ok - I am the only one in the ward up and about so far and just had my catheter removed as I would like to get home later today.

Good luck to everyone and I hope more babies start coming soon!

bobble53 Wed 04-Dec-19 07:34:08

My due date today! Still no sign of baby though! I wish he would get a wriggle on, I’m desperate to meet him now!

preggers506974215 Wed 04-Dec-19 08:19:30

Congratulations @thisyeargoodyear .

Kate3150 Wed 04-Dec-19 08:45:19

@bobble53- Bless you, how are you feeling in yourself? I’ve got everything crossed he makes an appearance VERY soon!!!!! X

India999 Wed 04-Dec-19 08:49:51

Congratulations! Fantastic news XX

fonxey Thu 05-Dec-19 07:26:23

Congrats to those who have gone on to have their babies!

I am now 39 weeks. And the car has a flat tyre so i will definitely go into labour today. tcrgrin

Spam88 Thu 05-Dec-19 09:29:09

@fonxey if that works for you I might go let the air out of my tyres 😂

forevercurious Thu 05-Dec-19 19:04:11

Baby Curious born approximately 8 hours after my stretch and sweep at 38+6 earlier this week.

We’re home and doing well smile

Ilovethekitties Thu 05-Dec-19 20:40:58

@forevercurious congratulations! How was the birth???

Well done!

forevercurious Thu 05-Dec-19 20:43:55

It was very quick and intense. I’ve got a third degree tear and I’ve said I would never have a vaginal delivery again!

Ilovethekitties Thu 05-Dec-19 20:49:35

Christ, I'm so sorry! Does it hurt? Scary! Well done though, that cant have been easy! You bossed it.

anothernamejeeves Thu 05-Dec-19 20:50:38

Sorry to crash your thread but this brings back such sweet memories- my little boy is 4 tommorow and I remember that anticipation and nervousness like it was yesterday! Hope all goes as smooth and pain free as possible and those who have been waiting around just remember ....they make a habit of that once born 😆

Kate3150 Sat 07-Dec-19 07:15:48

@forevercurious- Woohooo congratulations!!! I hope you’re recovering okay after tear bless you? 💜 xx

Kate3150 Sat 07-Dec-19 07:23:03

@thisyeargoodyear- How are you & little man doing? X

forevercurious Sat 07-Dec-19 10:12:42

@Ilovethekitties yes it hurts but it’s bearable! I would recommend the spritz for bits spray - it’s a god send!

@Kate3150 thankyou smile it’s sore but getting better Thankyou. Also currently suffering with breast engorgement and at the moment that’s more painful!

thisyeargoodyear Sun 08-Dec-19 11:46:15

@Kate3150 we are doing well. Settled in nicely to home and even made it out yesterday. He has lost about 12% body weight though so we are on a feeding plan which is exhausting as it's a 3 hour cycle of breast feeding, expressing then topping up. My milk has now come in though so hoping things improve fast. My milk was very slow to come in this time after my ELCS, much slower than my previous birth (EMCS).

preggers506974215 Sun 08-Dec-19 19:49:40

I have started to have back pain/pressure since about 6pm not sure if it's Braxton Hicks or early labour. It's happening quite regularly every 10 minutes or so 🤞

Ilovethekitties Sun 08-Dec-19 21:25:43

@preggers506974215 omg, how far along are you? Exciting stuff. Good luck.

preggers506974215 Sun 08-Dec-19 21:35:03

@Ilovethekitties thank you! I'm 38+3. I had my DD at 38+5 so was hoping for similar. The pain is happening every 10 minutes still but is getting stronger/longer so starting to believe I'm actually going into labour now.

forevercurious Mon 09-Dec-19 20:45:39

@preggers506974215 how are you getting on? Here’s hoping you have a beautiful baby to snuggle by now.

preggers506974215 Tue 10-Dec-19 06:15:29

@forevercurious baby has arrived smile yesterday at 12.26pm weighing 7lb13. I had a water birth which i would definitely recommend. It didn't necessarily help with the pain but relaxed me so much. Hope everyone's babies arrive soon smile

forevercurious Tue 10-Dec-19 09:02:52

@preggers506974215 congratulations flowers

MyGorgeousGirlIsHere Tue 10-Dec-19 15:03:14

Just checking in to say following my ELCS my baby girl arrived safely and perfectly at 39 weeks last week but not had a chance to post until today.

She weighed a petite 6lbs 6oz despite all her scans saying she would be a big girl! So all my carefully chosen hospital outfits swamped her! DH and I were shocked as we both believed she would be high percentile as she had several growth scans in the third trimester

ELCS went well and we got home the next day which was wonderful as I was desperate for my own bed and to all be together. Her big brother is absolutely smitten with her and we've had a lovely few days of being a family of 4.

Good luck to anyone still awaiting their little December babies!

forevercurious Tue 10-Dec-19 15:17:57

@MyGorgeousGirlIsHere congratulations 🎉 6lbs 6 is tiny! Glad you’ve settled well at home.
