So I have my date for my twelve week scan already. I haven’t had a booking in appointment yet, so I think I’m going to chase it up tomorrow.
Feeling very pregnant, I was actually sick yesterday four times! My little girl was telling dp “mummy is sick, she put food all over the floor”. Great thanks 😊
How is everyone else doing?

I got my 12 week scan date today too - 6th jan!

Oh poor you, I haven't actually been sick yet, but came very very close today. It took a couple of weeks until I got a call back with my booking appt date. I only had that call yesterday and had the scan letter today, so hopefully you hear from them soon.

Your little girl sounds sound sweet!

Hey ladies!

I've not been actually sick at all but have felt sick every day. Really hoping that stops soon!

@Crazybunnylady123 hope you feel better soon! And hopefully it was a one off!

@Mimi91 that scan will be here in no time with Christmas's in between!

I have my official 12 week scan in wednesday. I'm feeling huge already - I'm only 5ft1 so I don't think there's anywhere for my bump to hide.

Hi ladies! Love that we have a new thread now!

It's so exciting to hear you all have scan dates now! My booking in appointment is a week today, I'll be 10 weeks then so feel like I've been waiting forever! Then scan on Christmas eve 🥰 it's all so exciting!

I've been lucky enough to escape actually being sick so far, but the nausea has really kicked in this week where it had only been every so often before then 🤢

Larrydavid · 29/11/2019 18:09

@MrsS147 week 9 was the worst week for my nausea- it really knocked me out! I think it's got a bit easier since then.

Just checking in to say I have my booking in appointment next week.
Dp just went to work and gave me a cuddle and a kiss goodbye and he said I have a small bump now. Made us both smile!
How is everyone doing? I’m still pretty sick hoping it will ease up by week twelve!

MrsS147 · 04/12/2019 17:09

How did your scan go @Larrydavid?

@Crazybunnylady123 I have mine on Friday! Feel like I've been waiting forever for it! I felt horrible the end of last week, but seems to have eased a bit since Monday. Hoping I'm over the worst of it but will see what happens the next few days!

That sounds a lovely moment between you and your DP 😊 I've got a little bit of a bump but think it's more bloat than bump still 😂

Crazybunnylady123 · 04/12/2019 17:40

@MrsS147 Just say it’s a bump! Makes the sickness feel a bit better to have some progress!
Yes, it’s been a rough start hasn’t it, lets all hope it starts easing up so we can all enjoy Christmas!

@Crazybunnylady123 glad you have your booking appt now! Mine is next week too.

@MrsS147 good luck at your booking appt tomorrow!

The bloat is real! Looking forward to it being a proper bump 🙈

@Crazybunnylady123 I'm gonna go with it is a bump then 😂 hoping all symptoms ease by Christmas! Thought I was starting to feel better but I felt so awful yesterday I ended up phoning in sick to work 🙈

@Mimi91 thank you! I'm excited for it, makes everything start to seem real!

@MrsS147 I was thinking the same. But last night
I started cramping and I threw up again!
Hope your booking in goes alright, don’t forget you can get your free bounty packs/Emma’s Diary packs. There’s not loads in them but I think at Asda you get a baby bib in one of the packs!

Hey guys! Hope you're all doing well and sickness eases off soon! I had my 12 week scan and all is fine. Also got harmony test results back and everything is good. Feeling a little relieved! My sickness has come back with a bang though which is but annoying but I'm just grateful the babe is fine!

How you all doing?

Report
Mimi91 · 06/12/2019 15:56

@Crazybunnylady123 keep forgetting to pick up the packs! Can you get all 3 at once?

@Larrydavid great news about your scan. Morning sickness is a nightmare, hope yours stops soon!

@MrsS147 hope your appt went okay!

My symptoms are pretty mild, always get nauseas and ridiculously tired in the evening, but I think I've got off lightly! Managed to avoid another night out with my friends, can't wait to tell them!

@Mimi91 Not all at once I don’t think as they are designed to go through your pregnancy with you. You can download the apps for both though and it tells you where and when you get them.
I remember I got a little pot of sudocrem in one, Johnson’s baby lotion, washing powder samples, a bib, nappy samples.

@Larrydavid I am glad everything is fine, it’s very reassuring to get the scan at twelve weeks and all is well. I am planning to start making things for the baby after mine.

@MrsS147 it’s going to go quickly now we all have Christmas to take our minds away from babies, soon be January and time to paint the nursery!

@Crazybunnylady123 I went to Argos today and managed to pick up all 3 packs (so blooming impatient). No baby bib or sudocream, but lots of baby wipes and nappy rash cream. I have downloaded to bounty app as well, so may pick that up from Tesco at some point.

Just off out for an Indian with the family (they don't know yet). God help me, terrible morning sickness today and cannot stomach any level of spice atm.

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend!

@Larrydavid glad to hear your scan went well! Mine is 2 weeks tomorrow and just wish it would hurry up!

I felt so rubbish all weekend. Just slept through most of it, was too tired to do anything! My booking in appointment was really good, nice to speak about everything - makes it all seem more real! Got my notes and stuff and a bunch of stuff to read too!

@Crazybunnylady123 I have all the vouchers downloaded but keep forgetting to go get them 😂 I can't believe Christmas is in just over 2 weeks! I think it makes these early milestones come around quicker as time always seems to fly just before Christmas!

@Mimi91 that's good you got all the packs in one go! I might need to try that!
How was your meal with your family?

Mimi91 · 09/12/2019 21:56

@MrsS147 glad your booking appt went well. the meal was good thank you, been paying for it today though! morning sickness is getting worse and harder to hide at work.

My parents have just swung by and my mum was asking after my friend's baby which was random. She also kept asking me to have a gin with her, made me wonder if she knew... 🤔 paranoid or what!

@Mimi91 when is your booking appointment?

I think my mum would have guessed if I didn't tell her 😂 actually, she said she knew even before I tested 🤔

Sorry to hear your morning sickness is getting worse! All these symptoms are so rubbish but so worth it at the same time. I'm just wishing time away so I can feel a bit better and see past 8pm 😂 I had a really bad day yesterday, just felt so tired and sick and cried at work twice 😂 feeling a lot better today though, so hopefully have more days like this!

@MrsS147 it's this Sunday. I know how you feel, I make it to about 8.30pm then I have to nap on the sofa, then I wake up at about 10pm in a foul mood and then drag myself upstairs to bed. Every single night 😂

Did you cry because you feel so sick and tired? Or are you just feeling a little emotional atm?

@Mimi91 that's exciting! Going for mine made everything start to seem more real.
😂 The annoying thing is I keep waking up during the night and not being able to get back to sleep either despite still being so tired. I had a bad sleep last night and feel today is going to be a long day!

A bit of both I think 😂 I've cried so much recently over stupid things as well! And just cried at the bus stop cause I missed a bus I could've ran and caught if I wasn't pregnant and now it's 20 minutes on the next and I'm tired and freezing 😂

How have you been feeling?

Report
Mimi91 · 12/12/2019 19:05

@MrsS147 oh no, that's so annoying! I would cry too, even if I wasn't pregnant.

Just feeling a little nauseous, how's your nausea?

Had my booking in appointment today, went alright apart from the impending flu jab.
So 12 week scan on Tuesday and blood tests and have to book the flu jab. Hoping mum is about when I’m laying in bed shaking and burning up. It was one of the worst parts when I was pregnant with dd.
Sickness easing up slightly at the moment but still a very unhealthy relationship with food. I know my triggers at the moment!
How is everyone else? Anyone had their flu jab and had no side effects? Please give me some hope!

@Crazybunnylady123 oh no, sorry you've had a bad experience with the flu jab. I had mine a few weeks ago, was absolutely fine. I had a heavy arm for a day after but no side effects. You may not have any side effects, I think the vaccination is different every year because it is protecting against a different strain? Most ppl at my workplace had it and don't know any who had bad side effects.

Oooh not long til your 12 weeks! How exciting! Grin

I'm eating wayyyyy too many packets of crisps atm. It's not even that I crave them, I just know I'm not repulsed by them.

I really hope I don’t get any side effects I can’t lay in bed with a toddler! I’m not getting as much sleep as I’d like - so tired!
The scan is a nice milestone isn’t it, I’m going to be trying to guess whether we have a boy or girl.

@Mimi91 my nausea isn't too bad. Usually only in the evening but not too bad. It's the tiredness I'm struggling with! Ended up leaving work at lunch time and going home to sleep 😂

@Crazybunnylady123 I had my flu jab at around 6 or 7 weeks and I didn't have any symptoms afterwards. Arm was a little sore but only if I thought about it. So exciting that you have your scan on Tuesday! Mine is a week Tuesday and it can't come quick enough!

My diet has been pretty bad, was so shocked when I got weighed at my booking appointment and I hadn't put on any weight 😂 maybe the lack of chocolate and cake had been balancing out all the McDonald's I've had 🤭
