What do you honestly think of the name Sebastian?

It's a handsome name. Possibly some people would find it a bit stuffy but I like it.

I like it. Connotations: Sebastian Coe; not my sort of politician but athletic, strong minded and intelligent. So long as you like the nickname Seb... go for it.

It's my LO's middle name. DH wanted it as a first but I didn't like Seb as an abbreviation. There was a very cool Seb at my high school though.

Connotations of chinless blond youths. Will most likely be doing something wet in an office. Hetrosexual, but really only because he's scared of other mmen. Passive agressive and whiney.

It's not too common, not made up and stupid, not rough, has a really good history both literary and otherwise, which are all good things IMO.

See I know people who are called Vicky who have a lot of class, and are NOT like Vikkii Pollard at all. It's all about the ones you meet first. I could never call a child of mine gemma because a kid called Gemma used to bully me - and the name conjures up a picture of her pinched, gleefully spiteful face.
