Hi, does anyone own one of these pushchairs? Can't choose between the two so was just wondering what people's opinions are. Chose those two as they are lightweight and can go off road if needs be as I live down a country lane. Thanks

Mamas & Papas are closing down, so you might get the Flip XT on a discount?

Only certain stores, went into the Manchester one today. The flip xt2 will be in the black Friday sale but not the flip xt3.

Ordered the XT3 today - very cheap on Pramworld! Was originally looking for an iCandy Lime but this was nicer in the shop and had a higher Which? score.

We have the oyster 3, I love it, nice and light weight. The only down side is the car seat was recalled so we have a joie car seat which doesn't attach as seamlessly as I would like (need to give it a good wiggle)

Absolutely love my Oyster 3. Lightweight, easy to fold and attach different parts e.g carry cot, pushchair seat. As mentioned by previous poster, the car seat was recalled before I got it so pram shop replaced it for maxicosi one. This is a bit more fiddly to fix on till you get the hang of it. The only thing I would say is that I bought the package with everything included and got very little use out of the carrycot. With hindsight I would’ve bought one with just pushchair and car seat and saved a bit of money.

Thanks for replies. LividLaughLove I'm hoping to go to pram world this week and compare the two.
Looked at Which and both have good reviews on there.
I've bought the Joie i level reclining car seat already so just need a package with the other bits and bobs.

I would chose mamas and papas because they will still have operations in the UK. The oyster I believe is a Mothercare own brand and as they are demising all UK operations if there was a problem you may struggle to get it sorted.

I have the flip x2 it’s good I like it. I imagine the flipx3 is similar.

I've got the flip XT 3 in grey and champagne chassis and I love it. The one-handed fold is so easy and i use my joie ilevel car seat with the adapters regularly if I'm just nipping out.

The Oyster 3 is by the brand Babystyle so that shouldn't be a problem.
Thanks 20viona, I like that colour too but don't seem to sell it anymore.
Seems they are both good so it will probably come down to what offers there are

Oyster isn’t Mothercare, they just sell it in there. It’s by a brand called Bsbystyle.

We have an Oyster 2 and I loved it. Although I’m a ‘it’s a pram’ type of person. It pushed well, fairly light, folded easily, fitted in my boot.. never broke, it’s the loft for baby two.

I did use our carry cot pretty much every day for 5 months.. I walked a lot for fitness/baby weight loss and preferred to have my daughter laid flat than in her car seat on said walks! Depends on your lifestyle I think!

I would of got it in black and copper if that was out when I got mine as I prefer it and it's more unisex!

I was going to get the xt3 but after trying it out at the track at the baby show I realised the slightly bigger wheels on the m&p occaro did better on bumpy surfaces. I'm sure xt3 will still be fine but if you live in a county road it could be worth comparing with the occaro. It's slightly heavier but not that much. I also find the button to gold the pram a lot easier on the occaro than the button on the xt3 which you have to slide along.

Hi all,

Found this post and was literally going to post something asking for comparisons of the two prams! Please could people let me know what they are both like? Particularly in terms of durability with the wheels as I plan on doing lots of walking. Are they likely to do more than one baby? I like both of them but have people recommending Silver Cross as they might last longer. Feeling pretty clueless! Thanks in advance!

I've been trying loads of prams out recently and the Oyster 3 wins hands down! It was by far the easiest to push, light and smooth! It's also nice and compact, looks lovely and is very reasonably priced. It was one of the cheapest on our short list and was way better than more expensive models like egg and icandy. Very impressed with it...
