November babies - getting close now...

Thought I'd post another November babies thread as I haven't seen one in ages. I'll be 31 weeks tomorrow and it's starting to feel very real now! Not that the crazy heartburn and ever expanding bump wasn't enough of a reminder... anyone else due in November and want to chat?

I’m due 29th November with my second. To be honest, I just want it to be over (with the safe delivery of my beautiful baby girl, obviously). I’m already totally shattered and really struggling with SPD, plus i have a 4yo who seems to have developed a total aversion to sleep and no control over her own volume. I just want to fast forward to the lovely baby snuggles and skip the rest of feeling like this!! Anyone else not enjoying their pregnancy?

30 weeks tomorrow, due on 25th November. It feels so close yet so far away still! Counting down my maternity leave already though, everything feels so much harder now.

Yeah I'm over being pregnant now - I like feeling the baby move but that's about it! I'm looking at starting mat leave in 5 or 6 weeks. FTM so I don't know how I'll feel but I'm getting more tired now. Busy getting the nursery decorated which is nice though!

Due the 13th and feeling fine. Got a lot to do beforehand so I'm hoping baby doesn't come early Smile I also need to read my hypnobirthing book so I feel ready because I'm so nervous of the birth

I'm also due 4th November. Feels very close now it's single digit weeks! Feel kind of prepared but also totally unprepared. We still have carpet fitting and a bathroom installation to go and I'm working until 18th October so I am just hoping she's on time/late!!

@Sleepyquest the Positive Birth Company videos are great for hypnobirthing too - I'm only part way through but feel a lot more informed which is what I was hoping for. Worth a look if you haven't done so already!

Due on the 5th November and so over being pregnant. I'm knackered and feel like a bad mummy to my 5 year old - just don't have the energy for her at the moment. Only 12 working days left though then it should get easier as I can nap during the day when eldest is at school and finish getting organised without eating into our weekends!

When are you all planning on getting your hospital bag ready? And what are you putting in it? This is my 3rd but I have a 9 year age gap and I feel like I have totally forgotten everything to do with babies and what's needed! Last night I woke up in a panic thinking about feeding how will I know when he needs more milk! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I know it will all come back once he's here but it's the the little things that you worry about!

@Ohmydaysmate I'm thinking of packing mine around 34 weeks? I have a consultant appointment then so going they'll give more of a hint on if I'll be allowed to go overdue / into labour naturally or be induced.

Oh yey! A Nov thread!!

I’m FTM, due 5th Nov, too, @Piplette 😊 only 7weeks to go!

Had SPD since 21w so not been sleeping well anyway...kind of used to it now 🙄

Just feeling massive and constructed in breathing etc. Working til 1st Nov but only doing 4hrs/day now so doesn’t feel arduous.

Not packed hospital bag, still have a bunch of stuff to buy but big things are all done-Cot, Travel System, clothes etc. I have to admit that I’m a bit overwhelmed by the number of lists and ‘essentials’ that are suggested online, and I’ve been putting off the packing and preparing. But our birthing centre is literally a 5min walk from a 24hr supermarket so most ‘essentials’ should be on tap.

Hello! I'm FTM due 29th Nov, can't wait! I'm feeling very lucky that everything is good really, no real aches or pains...but I'm just so bored of waiting, each week seems to drag! Anyone else feel like they've been pregnant forever? I just want to meet this little bean, but of course when she is fully cooked! I have an inner battle with myself every day 'I can't wait to meet you but please don't come until you're ready, stay safe little one!'... does anyone else feel like this? Any tips on distracting yourself/keeping busy? I'm still at work but that doesn't seem to help!

Yes I feel like I've been pregnant forever! People keep saying it's gone so quickly, I'm like - erm no....!

I'm so damn tired, can't sleep, reflux, PGP, everything hurts, even standing up for five mins leaves me out of breath, and I also think I'm now turning into a mega bitch because I'm just so pissed off. Bring on November!

Report
Hayesdays · 16/09/2019 14:55

haha yessss!!! Everyone says that to me too 'oh it goes so quickly doesn't it?' ...Nope...Not for me!

I can't imagine how slowly it must go if you're suffering too. I hope your aches and pains ease up @leomama81

I've got a scan in a couple of weeks (I have a low placenta so they're checking on that) so at least I've got that to look forward to. Can't wait to see her again

Due #2 on 28th Nov, don't feel like I've done anything to prepare for this baby, though we have everything from dd1 so maybe I don't need to do that much. Washing the baby clothes and sorting out a hospital bag might be a good start!

Report
Dramaofallama · 16/09/2019 15:30

I still haven't sorted out my hospital bag, i looked up what I need to pack and the list was endless on some sites! It was so overwhelming. I might as well bring the sofa with me Grin

Due on the 19th November with #2.... Feel like I am about to pop and if one more person says to me "you're huge/are you sure it's not twins/ I was never that big etc etc) I think I will scream.

Got admitted for monitoring on Saturday night due to reduced movements and although lovely, the midwife looked a bit Shock when I said I hadn't packed my bag yet... I'm sure I didn't do it this early before!!!
