Third trimester cramps when walking

I'm 36 weeks today, for the past few days I'm cramping but only when walking?? I'm talking from my bedroom to the bathroom!! Not big walks.

I can spend all night with no cramps but as soon as I get up, I get them.

Anyone else??

I've started getting this too, I'm 33+6 and can't walk far at all now even with a bump support band. I think it's just the sheer weight, combined with the baby's head being wedged in my pelvis!

Yep, I started getting cramps around then. In my case, they came if I spent too much time standing up or walked a little too quickly. They also woke me up at night. The doctor didn't seem concerned.

Also, I've always had a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions from very early on but since about 36w I seem to get them by doing anything "strenuous" like standing up, walking, turning over in bed, etc! I guess I've just got an active uterus! I'm now 38w+2 and am used to the constant BH and cramps any time I move.

Thank you both, I feel much more reassured!!

When you get the cramps, how long do they last?? I've read braxton hicks etc should last 1-2 mins but mine literally last 5+ !! X

For me, BH and cramps are two completely different sensations. My BH last about 30 secs to a minute and don't hurt as such. The cramps can be 10-15 mins, fading and then coming back a few minutes later. At night though, they usually only last 5 mins til I turn over to my other side and that sorts them out.
