This is a safe and supportive thread for ladies from the TTC after pregnancy loss thread who've had a BFP and are now negotiating the scary rollercoaster world of pregnancy after loss.

If you weren't on the original thread, have suffered a loss and are now pregnant please feel free to join the penguin huddle 🐧

Positive pants ON. Let’s get our rainbows ladies 🌈

MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue Thu 05-Sep-19 17:08:00

I can’t find the up to date list of due dates, but I’ll start the roll call...

About me:
Age 37 (today!)
DD aged 2.9
2 previous losses:
- MMC in July 2018. Had a scan at 7.5 weeks and saw heartbeat but baby measuring a week behind. Next scan baby had died. Had to wait for the NHS as they won't accept private scans and passed naturally at ten weeks the day before I was scheduled for surgery. Found the whole thing quite traumatic.
- Ectopic pregnancy and emergency removal of my left tube in February 2019. Found that even more traumatic.

Had one period after the ectopic and am somehow 23 weeks pregnant with a baby boy!

About me:
Age 31
EDD 13 March (currently 12+6)
2 previous losses: MMC that was a partial molar pregnancy at 12 weeks in February, in monitoring with CX hospital for three months, CP in March.

Happy birthday @MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue 🎉 🎈

About me -

Currently 5+1 with my 3rd pregnancy - 2 previous MCs at 7 and 6 weeks.

These early weeks are giving me such stress. Being back to school is keeping me distracted a wee bit (and exhausted)
Have a scan at EPU next Friday so fingers crossed I'll get to see my wee bean 💕

ChikiTIKI Thu 05-Sep-19 17:56:08

Currently nearly 10 weeks pregnant. Had a scare last weekend with a lot of bleeding but scan confirmed all ok.
Due 4th April smile but will have ELCS this time so will have a March baby if everything goes well.

Avocuddles Thu 05-Sep-19 18:37:35

Hi and thanks for the new thread!

About me...
Age 35
TTC since June 2018. Very irregular cycles so had been referred for fertility treatment but fell pregnant naturally whilst waiting for the appointment. This sadly ended in a natural miscarriage in May at c7 weeks.
Currently c7 weeks pregnant and feeling very anxious (even more anxious after just reading @MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue's roll call) as had a private scan yesterday when we saw a heartbeat but it measured a week behind. Have a scan at the EPU booked for next Wednesday but am frankly terrified at the moment sad
High risk pregnancy due to clotting history so lots and lots of appointments, just hoping and praying that it leads to a baby....

@strawberrye fantastic scan photos, glad all is looking good

KnitKitty Thu 05-Sep-19 18:48:12

@MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue Thanks for the new thread! And Happy Birthday!!!

@Strawberrye Love the scan pictures you posted on the other thread. Love how baby had its legs stretched out!

About me:
Age: 31
4 previous losses (1 MMC and 3 losses between 4-6 weeks)
Currently 19 weeks and things are going really well!

ROLL CALL:
KnitKitty, 31, EDD 29/01/19

(Can you add your names to the roll-call either before or after mine depending when you're due so they're in order?)

strawberrye Thu 05-Sep-19 18:51:34

@KnitKitty yeah baby seemed very chilled out in there, even the sonographers commented on it!

ROLL CALL:
KnitKitty, 31, EDD 29/01/20
Strawberry, 28, EDD 08/03/20

Hope you don't mind I changed the year on your EDD @KnitKitty (otherwise that would be a loooooong pregnancy!)

Amanda81 Thu 05-Sep-19 18:54:28

Hi

I haven't been active for a while, but I am keeping watch of all your progress. Adding myself to the roll call:

Mistymeow Thu 05-Sep-19 19:03:17

Hi

I’m Misty, ttc #1 for 3 years (Male factor infertility but treatable, also high dna fragmentation and genetic disorder)
Mmc (anembryonic) April 2018
Mmc March 2019
Currently 8w6d and saw heartbeat last week!
I’ll add my due date once it’s confirmed at 12w scan

@strawberrye saw your scan pic, it’s so clear! So pleased for you.
@KnitKitty thanks my booking was fine, the midwife was lovely and had the right balance of being sensitive and a good laugh. She’s also going to flag the genetic condition to paediatrics later on as there can be markers for dh’s condition. Love your scan pic, baby is very flexible!

Squiff70 Thu 05-Sep-19 19:08:58

Thanks for the new thread @MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue and Happy Birthday!

I'm also 37
Currently nearly 12 weeks pregnant with twins after having lost twins at 19 weeks in January this year. I had two chemicals in between both twin pregnancies.
EDD end of February

What a rollercoaster pregnancies are - moreso, I think, after loss. Glad to be in the huddle though. You ladies are a huge source of information, comfort, support and inspiration to me.

coconutlatte44 Thu 05-Sep-19 19:36:45

Hi everyone,
33, ttc #1 after anembryonic pregnancy discovered at 8 weeks in February.
Currently 20 weeks-ish. Scan today showed a healthy baby boy! Can’t believe it, feeling really positive about things at the moment.

Congrats @strawberrye on your lovely scan.

@Avocuddles wishing you strength to get through this next week, fingers are crossed for you.

KnitKitty Thu 05-Sep-19 20:10:38

@Stawberrye Thanks, I keep doing that with the date. D'oh!

@Mistymeow I think I missed the fact that you saw a heartbeat! Yey! So pleased. I think getting past 8 weeks marks quite a milestone in terms of percentages of miscarriages going way down, so you're doing really well! Glad the midwife was nice.

@Squiff70 Have you got a dating scan coming up?

@coconutlatte44 Lovely scan pic! A boy!! How exciting!! I should find out the sex of mine a week today; can't wait!

Melpops36 Thu 05-Sep-19 20:26:36

Congratulations @coconutlatte44! A boy! That's amazing smile

Hi @KnitKitty, how are you? My official 12 week scan is on 19th September but I'll be 13+4. I need to ring my midwife and ask if they can still do the screening that late on as myself and DP both want the screening for Down's, Edwards' and Patau's.

Frillyfarmer Thu 05-Sep-19 20:56:26

Thank you for the new thread and happy birthday @MyHeartIsBrokeButIHaveSomeGlue

I'm 29, currently 14+6 after 2 MCs this year, I have a DS who is nearly 2.

Booked a scan for Monday because I can feel the anxiety creeping back in and it was on offer at £55. My 20 week scan isn't for another 6 weeks and I know I won't last that long 🙈

Roll call -

Just checking In to the new thread!

I'm 40, and this little one will hopefully be our first child. I had two miscarriages in 2018, one discovered in March, second in September. Both bean and bow passed away at 6 weeks but we didn't find out till scans at 9 weeks.

However this little un, Bee appears to be heading the right way! Currently 22+3 and low risk for trisomies and all good at anomaly scan. Just trying to get from milestone to milestone..viability at 24 weeks is my next one!

So ladies, I know I've almost certainly asked this before but tell me about random pains in early pregnancy please! I've had a load of random pains today and I'm trying to stay calm...and failing sad

janey15 Thu 05-Sep-19 22:22:05

Oh yeah, and I hope no one minds but I put all the due dates in order...because I'm that kind of person blush

rubyroot Thu 05-Sep-19 23:05:29

@janey15 I had fairly severe left hand pain up until about 8/9 weeks, Ive had stitch pains, twinges, cramps.. You name it. Totally normal I think 👍

rubyroot Thu 05-Sep-19 23:06:21

I've also had weird pain which lasted several hours in one place, but scans so far have been pisutuve
