Finding out toooo early

Honestly feel like every hour is dragging to get out of the "safe zone."

Every feeling in my body is making me paranoid about miscarriages, ectopic pregnancy, early loss.

I think it's a curse to find out too early. If you can hold off try and do that!

I found out at 3w+1 according to my scan dates, I'm currently 10w+1 and I had my first positive on the 1st July. It has DRAGGED so bad - and I've also had on and off bleeding for best part of 6 weeks of this time. It's been dreadful for me, the bleeding has FINALLY subsided, I've had an early scan at 8w+4, I thought I was 9w+2 counting from my first day of my last period but the ultrasound measured me at 8w+4. There was a heartbeat, all progressing well and healthy. Saw the blood in my cervix, they have put it down to erosion and a cyst in my cervix so I'm trying not to get myself worked up!

Got my 12 weeks scan with the hospital on the 28th - so can't wait so I can finally tell my family and close friends.

How far along are you ?

Aw congratulations! I'm only 4 weeks, found out last Wednesday so at 3w3d.
Glad the bleeding has subsided as that could be scary! Where did you get the early scan from? I really want one done just to ease my mind but think it will have to be private.
Good luck with your 12 week scan - just over a week left for it! xx

I also found out early (around 3+3) and it does make this first trimester feel so very long! I'm 9 weeks now and just started feeling like I'm "getting somewhere". Hope everything goes swimmingly for you.

@girlanonymous this is also me right now 😩 I found out at bang on 3 weeks and am now almost 5. If anything, I'm stressing more now 🙈

@girlanonymous thank you! congrats to you as well! The bleeding is still there, but more spotting now. I had it every day for 3 weeks bleeding it was awful. I was so anxious, my scan was private and I paid around £50 for it. It was SO worth it, I'd definitely recommend it if you feel you can't wait for the 12 week one (I defo couldn't bare to wait as EPU wouldn't scan me as I wasn't in pain even though I had a lot of bleeding!). I know, I'm counting down the days now!

Can you believe it, I found out at 2+6 from my scans (I'm sure they must be wrong about the dates!!) Very very faint almost unnoticeable line but it has seriously dragged! I'm now 8+2 and it's still going slowly and the fear doesn't go away. Sending my love 💐💐

*I mean that I dated it based on my scans later in the pregnancy, I didn't get a scan at 2+6 😂

I found out at 11dpo but ovulated in cd10 making it 2+6, which feels crazy. I've attached my first test. Its 4 weeks since I ovulated so I make that 6 weeks today. Got a scan on Thursday when I think I'll be 6+3.

I had a mmc in April, so finding the anxiety incredibly difficult.

I hate to sound negative but there is no safe zone in pregnancy.

I would rather find out early so I know to stop drinking wine, reduce coffee etc. But yea it does drag early on.

Me too! I'm somewhere between 4-5 weeks and got a BFP last week a couple of days before AD dye. Won't see midwife for another month for booking appointment and first scan not due for about another 8 weeks!
I've read so much and worried myself to death already! Need a much more positive mindset but will be booking and private scan for a few weeks time to try and help with peace of mind!
Fingers crossed for us all! X

I was just saying to my partner early pregnancy is the hardest time as it’s such a worrying/anxious time and every day drags. I am 8+2 with my 3rd. I have 2 already but they are both secondary school age so being pregnant with them feels a lifetime away!!

The hardest thing for me is being aware of things I didn’t really know about previously missed miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies etc. My parter says get an early scan to stop me worrying but they cost £50 which I feel is a lot and we are going away next week so feel we should be careful with money. Also I was concerned that if something was wrong on scan would be faved with either it ruining our time away or having to cancel and let kids down.

I’m trying to just stop getting so worried and just try to be grateful that have the chance to actually be pregnant (a girl at work struggling to conceive). Hopefully the early days will pass smoothly for everyone and will be worth it.

I found out really early, am now 31 weeks and every single day has dragged and I’ve been really busy too and that hasn’t helped!
Have a 17month old so only went back to work after maternity in March 3 days a week, have a 14 year old. We got married abroad in June and then Uk reception and always have something going on but it has still dragged!

Yes I found out at 3 weeks 3 days. (Or so the date From my last period suggested). I just kind of 'knew' anyway so it was from implantation I knew I think. I'm now 6+3 with an early scan booked for 8 weeks. I feel like it's been a lifetime already.

Things like Mumsnet are really helpful, but I find myself googling everything people mention!

I never thought I'd feel like this. 🙈

I’ve never tested before my period was due, so have been lucky enough never to have the “is there a line??” thing. This time I was away when my period was due so didn’t test until I got home and I was 5 weeks by LMP. But actually the thing that is making this go more quickly than last time is having another child! I’m so focused on him that I often forget I’m pregnant.

But as a PP says you don’t ever stop feeling anxious about something - you have given yourself something to be sick with worry about for the rest of your life!

Yep. I realised my period was 3 weeks late (not massively unusual for me) and had a positive test. Got a midwife appointment for what should have been 11 weeks. They sent me for a dating scan; to be told I was only 6 or 7 weeks! So I'm 4 weeks out. This also means I would have tested positive before 3 weeks so I'm not convinced it's right. I have my 12 week scan this week and I'm really hoping they tell me I am 13-14 weeks as its all been very long and stressful.
