@ELW85 Thanks! Ah sorry to hear you’re full of cold. I’ve been congested for weeks! I reckon it’s this awful ‘summer’ we’ve had (looking out the window right now at torrential rain!)

@Tropicana1 Welcome back! I know what you mean; I can get so distracted just by my phone in general. I saw something about having a 48 hour break from your phone each week and I’m considering giving it a try!! How are you feeling at the mo?

@Fivebyfive2 @cupcakesandglitter My Mums already text me to say she’s been in Aldi and picked me up a few of their reusable nappies haha, I’ll see what they’re like and report back! I hear good things about their high chairs too.

@MrsR16 Yeah, a few had guessed we were pregnant but no one was expecting twins! Made a few friends cry while they were at work haha! Hope the tiredness isn’t too bad; I always find Thursday the longest day - so close to Friday and yet so far!

Hey all, sorry I've been really quiet, had a very busy couple of weeks. Just marking my place on here too and saying a quick hello. So I don't have to read all two worth that I've missed, can someone catch me up on any new BFPs or births??

@cupcakesandglitter Scan went really good - I forgot to post the pics yest so here they are, Mum is convinced its one of each, DH says two boys, sis says two girls!! So who knows haha. But everything was perfect yesterday and just waiting for blood results now :)

@MrsEG yeah I can't see nubs on loads of scan pics 🤷🏼‍♀️. Not that long until you can find out! My 20 week scan is late September which really doesn't feel that far away now. Totally know what you mean about the relief of it not being a secret anymore, I felt so much more chilled when everybody knew.

@Crossfitgirl enjoy heading home with your gorgeous baby girl! Let us know how you get on (though zero pressure to be on mumsnet right now!!)

@cupcakesandglitter did you get anything at the Aldi event?

I'm feeling way better today - I think I just didn't each much yesterday. Meeting up with a pregnant friend later and very excited to chat all things bumps. Though also wary that I have other interests / hobbies / thoughts. I do feel like I've gone a bit baby mad lately!

@MrsEG - so glad your scan went well and your now happy to tell people, it’s so exciting! I didn’t realise Aldi did reuseable nappies, I may have a look this weekend!
I find Ikea high chairs the best - £10/12 and they are wipe clean, no hidden nooks and crannies and they even go in the dishwasher (don’t ask how I know that 😂) we bought one for one of the babies who was coming to the wedding as the venue didn’t have enough high chairs but it was never used, so we have one already and will nearer the time go and buy another one.

@MrsEG I tried the nub theory thing on my scan pic and I thought it showed a girl and I ended up with a boy.... so either I'm rubbish at it or it doesn't work 😂😂

So apparently my blood iron levels are good but it could be low iron stores making me feel rubbish so got another appointment this afternoon. I guess if it's not that then it's just pregnancy in general and I'm finally paying for having such an easy ride so far 😐

@cupcakesandglitter ahhh that's lovely of her! You'll have to let us know what you reckon to the stuff. I don't think I'll go to this one, but as I understand they have a few run each year, so maybe closer to the due date I'll pick up some of the bits I wanted to get new.

@PippaPug I'm feeling way better today which is a relief, as it was a bit grim! We've also picked up one of the IKEA highchairs as had heard good things. Love that they can go in the dishwashers too - won't ask how you know!!

@stormtrooperjulian oh I'm sorry to hear you're no closer to having an answer. How many weeks are you now? Are you in third tri? Lots of people seem to find their energy dips then. Sucks then when you're used to feel all lovely and spritely!

@MrsEG I aren't even going to guess because I'm rubbish! I guessed my 2nd nephew was gonna be a boy, and I thought mine was gonna be a boy ( he is!) but that was down to nothing other then DP constantly saying 'he' and 'my lad' before we even knew what he was 😂😂 amazing scan photos though. I'm so excited for you!

My cold is currently on the back burner to an aura migraine. I’m the gift that keeps on giving, apparently!

@ELW85 we didn't really start buying things til around 28 weeks, I kept thinking that we had loads of time then suddenly I panicked that we'd done nothing 😂

@purplefig @stormtrooperjulian can't believe I'm less than 6 weeks away from meeting the little one. Been very lucky but must admit I want my body back now! Yoga classes are now quite comical as I can't really bend in the middle at all 🙈 Baby is going to be a big one, tracking 10lb for due date, so may end up with an induction but just waiting to hear. I'm really hoping baby comes soon though, almost fully cooked so I'm trying everything I can to encourage an early appearance. Luckily I like dates, curries and pineapple 😁

@stormtrooperjulian feeling "normal" pregnant (for me anyway) today thankyou.
I just led in bed in total fear not knowing what was happening, if I should stay led down or get up.
I will be sleeping with one leg out of the covers tonight as maybe I overheated. I didnt realise until OH said "you've been boiling hot to the touch" that my temp was elevated so maybe I can avoid it tonight.

On the subject of the Aldi baby event they have the Bambino Mio reusable nappies in for £8.99 rather than £15 full price. 4 cute patterns too! I've sent my MIL down today and she's got me 5 and some liners 👌

@purplefig Glad you’re feeling better today! Ah so just a month then til your 20 week scan how exciting! We may be able to find out the sex at 16-17 weeks as looks like we’ll have a scan then. I feel like they’ll feel like ‘real’ people then!

@PippaPug They do, I’ve googled the reviews for their nappies too and they come quite recommended - can only be a good thing to have extras too with two bums to keep clean haha!

@stormtrooperjulian Oh I hope it all gets sorted for you this afternoon! You’ll have to stock up on some spinach like Popeye ;)

@thumper59 Thanks lovely, yep I haven’t even attempted to guess either haha! DH keeps calling them ‘the boys’ so perhaps there’s something in it (or it’s his wishful thinking!)

@GemmaJen Ooh not long! My sisters DD was tracking 10lb and came out 8lb 15oz and sis had no issues having her at all! She was a lovely little chunk as a baby too, all rolls!! Good luck over the next few weeks!

@ELW85 Ahh not a migraine! Can you go and try and sleep it off? I was the same as you; other than the completely needed maternity wear I haven’t bought a thing yet. I have a list and now I’m just gonna keep an eye out for deals and offers etc. I know loads of people who wait to get the ‘big stuff’ til the 20 week scan too but I worry for me that may be cutting it slightly fine haha!

Had to see the endocrinologist today re: my thyroid, so had to have more bloods taken! I feel like such a pin cushion these days. No appointments now though for three whole weeks! I won’t know what to do with myself!!

@ELW85 DH and I got a little overexcited and bought a couple of adorable babygrows when I was about 6 weeks. We were going to give them to the parents as the surprise, but then we found something even better! Still kept the babygrows though haha! That was about it before 12 weeks.

@Jessikka hope you're doing alright now, sweet... pregnancy does weird things!
