Told boy but not convinced due to before

Hello all, basically I got an early scan at a well known scanning place. Was told boy at 16'3 and was happy and went to 20 week scan where they told me girl.

I went today and got told boy and explained to them what had happened last time and she said 100% boy.

I have attached both photos but want to know what you all think ?

(16'3-Boy then girl)
(17-Boy)

Also first image is a girl and the one that says boy is a a boy btw.

Would you be able to tell this difference ?

Well I can see a penis in both pictures, don’t know where they’ve got girl from.

Given the dates on the pics, I'm guessing the first image is DC1 who has already been born and therefore OP knows the sex.

Exact same thing happened to me OP! Told boy then girl then boy again! I think it's more common for boys to hide their bits and be mistaken for a girl than the other way so I feel fairly certain he's a boy. Especially as your third scan they said 100% boy (mine wasn't that confident as baby was in a difficult position) then I'd go with that. Maybe have a girl's name planned just in case though. Congratulations!

Second pic is ops current pregnancy - wttw have told her boy again but she’s doubting because of what happened in previous pregnancy.

I've 2 weeks until 20 week scan and I'll ask again anyways but another midwife told me she could see the testicles in another picture so I am feeling hopeful especially when it looks like a turtle lol

Whenever I see a thread debating gender, it always relates to a boy!

Why is it people aren't happy to accept they're having a(nother) boy!

It's not about happiness. I'm thrilled just after last time I want to make sure it's right b

The first one was a girl @ 20 week that's why I'm worried.

@gabrielle1201 what was the explanation that it ended up being a girl in the first photo at 20 weeks although that pic looks like a boy?

And were both the photos at 16 weeks?

Report
Kitten22 · 14/08/2019 19:17

Second photo looks more of a boy than the first one because of the shape of it. I can imagine them saying the first photo was mistaken due to swollen labia or it was the umbilical cord etc. Dont you just wish scans were more accurate.

@Kitten22 first was 16'3 and this one was 17 on the nose.

Yeah just swollen parts but she's is all girl I'm just worried but I think I'm more convinced with the scan this time and also the 4D as I think I can see the boy parts on full show.

What do you all think?

That’s my boy (I hope!!!) shot from my scan from WTTW! I have my 20 week scan next Friday where I will ask to know the sex! I also have a 4D scan booked for Oct at WTTW so I am hoping I will definitely know! I have two girls so I’m desperate for this to definitely be a boy! Xx

@gabrielle1201 is baby healthy? Anomaly scans are all about that. Sometimes they can misidentify genitals but the scan's purpose is baby's health. So 🤞 its a boy and correctly identified but don't announce a name. I've seen too many "girls" be born boys and vice versa!
