Hey ladies!!
How are we all feeling today?
I’m feeling really nervous as my boobs do not feel as sore as they were! I’ve brought yet more tests so will take another in the morning xxx

Eliza9919 · 23/04/2019 13:42

Mine are still sore if knocked or squeezed. They didn't seem to be yesterday and I didn't feel as sick so I was a bit worried but the slight dizziness/nausea is back.

I spent most of the weekend/bank holiday lying down so I was dreading today and having to sit at my desk. It's not been too bad so far. I have made sure I've eaten proper food today so that may have helped. I've been eating too much junk so I'm going to have eggs for breakfast, salad for lunch and fish/chicken with veg/salad for dinner. Hopefully I can lose some flab without trying and get healthier at the same time.

Thanks for setting this up @Eliza9919

I'm back to work today after two weeks off and I feel terrible. I've had a good weekend with only a little bit of aches. Today my nausea is back full force alongside sore boobs and back and major cramps. My normal calm attitude with the kids has not been in place. They're winding me up something rotten today. I do teach most of the 'naughty' kids but today I could have strangled them all.

I had a little bleed at the weekend so rang the midwife and have been assured its perfectly normal. Fingers crossed the next few weeks fly over!

@ELJ1502 That must have been so scary.

I literally can not wait for the next 12 weeks to be over xx

I'm breaking it down, first 6 weeks and early scan, then harmony test, then 12 week scan, just to make it seem less time Grin

@Eliza9919 is the harmony test just for Down syndrome?

We've decided to not early scan. We may have a 3d type after the 20 week scan, but we're braving it out for a while.

We're telling our parents this week and I think that will make it feel really real.

Thanks for setting up the group @Eliza9919 such a lovely idea.
I don’t have any symptoms yet at all, I just want them to kick in!
Today I’ve got quite a bad cold, felt rotten all day so that might be masking things.
Still doesn’t feel real so I’ve taken more tests haha!
Think I’ll feel much better when I get past the weekend and actually miss my period, and start feeling something!

ELJ1502 · 23/04/2019 22:08

@MandaAish I took at least 5 before I believed it. I still have this idea I'll get to the midwife and she'll just laugh at me and say I was imagining things.

Report
Eliza9919 · 24/04/2019 07:04

@ELJ1502 I'm not sure, I need to research it more but I think I'll have it due to my age. DP probably won't want it done but if there was anything I'd want to know so we can be prepared/educated on anything.

@MandaAish I got a cold on Thursday, it's quite common apparently. Mine only lasted a few days except for a stuffy nose now.

I feel a bit queasy this morning, yesterday it was hardly there at all. I feel like I could actually be sick. Last week I actually sicked a little bit up when I was brushing my teeth by t other than that it's just been nausea.

Do you think I can stop testing now?? 😂😂

Yeah I heard colds are common too, didn’t think it would happen on the hottest weekend of the year though haha!

I did another this morning too @SquigglyOne, the line is so much darker. I think you definitely stop testing! I have 1 more digital test for my 5 week spot as that’s when I’m planning to tell my parents. I want to tell them right now! But DH wants to wait a little longer! It’s killing me!!

@MandaAish it’s difficult keeping the secret isn’t it?
We’ve told the in laws and my closest friend already - they were very supportive when I had the miscarriage so I want them to know either way xx

MandaAish · 24/04/2019 07:42

@SquigglyOne that’s such a good point, if God forbid anything was to happen I’d tell them straight away. So want them to know now but I guess 1 and a half weeks away isn’t far at all. I’m just soo terrible at keeping secrets always have been 😂😂

I'm abit nauseous this morning but the app is saying I'm only 3 weeks and 4 days didn't think it would come so soon. Boobs are tender but not overly sore gonna get a proper test tomorrow as I don't like the faintness on my lines but then again if I'm only 3 weeks or so would I even be late for AF yet?

I have someone's leaving do and a birthday party on Saturday and I don't want anyone to know yet. I'm bringing alcohol free wine hoping people won't read the label lol. Any tips for avoiding drinks but not wanting to tell people yet. My partner isn't going so I can't fob anything off to him

I've got no tips except say your doing a dry month, maybe, for health reasons. Everyone suspects if you say you are on antibiotics.

What app are people using? According to an online calculator I'm 4w 4d today. I'd like an app that tells me how far along I am and what the baby is up to that day or week.

Anyone switched to decaf tea? I'm just about to try a decaf earl grey. It smells the same, just a bit too hot to taste yet.

I've cut back on caffeine and need to get decaf tea. I use the ovia pregnancy app it lets u see the size of their hands and feet at 8 weeks when they start to develop and the size they are.

Eliza9919 · 24/04/2019 08:51

I've got the Ovia fertility app but I didn't like it much. I'll try the pregnancy app though if you rate it.

This tea is lovely! It might be because I put a few more sweeteners than it should have, my little tub seems to have broken them so halves and bits come out which can mean you use a lot more than 1-2. I have the natvia sweetener, I assume that's safe.

@Eliza9919 not sure about sweeteners I never thought about sugar intake tbh I only use the ovia pregnancy app cuz I was using the fertility one.

What others has anyone tried?

Report
Eliza9919 · 24/04/2019 09:53

I'm watching my sugars and carbs as I've been told previously that I'm pre-diabetic and my mum had gestational diabetes with me.

I'm using the Flo app. I started using it as a ttc and then you can change it to pregnancy.

I've also switched to decaf and haven't really noticed the difference. I like fruit tea anyway so have lots of those throughout the day and only one or two decaf teas at most.

@tinatsarina I tried alcohol free beer and it was horrible. I wouldn't waste my money again. Could you take the label off the alcohol free and say its home brew? I told people I was on antibiotics but hadn't told people we were trying so no one suspected. I also did the I was really drunk last night and I'm too tender to drink today.
