Hiya I'm about 10 and a half weeks pregnant and my 'all day' sickness seems to be reaching a peak!
When did your morning sickness stop/get better? I've heard that it's usually 12 weeks but some say more like 16-18 weeks.....

VictorVictoria Thu 12-Jul-07 15:30:49

I am 11 weeks and it seems to be peaking now. Last pregnancy it stopped at 12 but others go on for much loner.........

Felt rough for about two weeks - 8-10, then waaaay better, then started random vomiting again around 18 weeks but nothing awful.

Pennypops Thu 12-Jul-07 16:30:32

Mine reached a peak between 10 & 12 weeks - eased off slowly from about week 15. Thank God. Thought it would never stop but take heart it usually does! Hang on in there

MumOfSlytherinsMonsters Thu 12-Jul-07 16:33:07

mine started from about 5 weeks with both DS's.

With DS1 i had it for about a week but with ds2 i had it until 7 months!

nykate Thu 12-Jul-07 16:51:08

DD2: 5wks-18wks

wheelsonthebus Thu 12-Jul-07 17:31:09

very suddenly - about 12 weeks in

Naetha Thu 12-Jul-07 17:31:23

Started at 6 weeks, peaked at 9 weeks, improved at 13 weeks. Now I'm nearly 16 weeks and I've had 3 days of feeling crap! Hopefully its my sickness' swan song and I'll wake up tomorrow feeling wonderful!

estobi1 Thu 12-Jul-07 17:36:04

Last week! Hooray! (fingers and legs crossed - 2nd time mums know what I mean!) I am 25 weeks preganant but with my 1st baby I stopped at about 13/14 weeks so hopefully you might be near to the end. Different every time. If you find that you can't cope with fluids, you might be able to suck sweets or ice lollies to quench your thirst.

I'm now 7 weeks into second pregnancy and have been feeling rough and nauseous all week but not as bad as last time, am praying It won't be like last time I won't be able to cope

krispie Fri 13-Jul-07 18:49:51

hi rascal. huge sympathy from me. i suffered with hyperemesis (severe nausea) in both pregnancies and was in and out of hospital numerous times. anti-emetics eventually helped (at about week 20) but i know how awful you must be feeling. big hugs and wishing you a quick recovery x

mum2george Fri 13-Jul-07 20:34:35

rascal1979 Sat 14-Jul-07 16:00:37

I felt a little better this mornign - got up later - think that the extra sleep did me good. Although after nipping to the shops I now feel shattered and sick ....another sleep me thinks! shhhh don't tell DH, he is expecting me to help with the gardening!! (only minimal stuff!)

crokky Sat 14-Jul-07 16:03:37

Was hyperemisis though

Surfermum Sat 14-Jul-07 16:13:53

Mine stopped after I had dd, but did improve significantly around 13 weeks. I had to keep eating to stop feeling sick, and I was still sick every morning.
