Hi ladies, thought I’d start another thread as the original one is closed and don’t think anyone has started a new one yet? I’m sure there are more ladies I should tag!

Yay Gabbygal I couldn’t work out why I wasn’t able to post in the other didn’t realise they had a limit. How is everyone doing? Happy news on the scan did you find out what you are having? I had mine on Monday we are having a boy! Also had results back from the NIPT test which all came back as low risk so I can start to relax now. Definitely got a bump although depends what I eat. Need to get some good maternity jeans any suggestions?

Aw a boy congratulations! We’ve decided not to find out. I’ve been in maternity jeans since 14 weeks 😂 H&M jeans are really comfy but they’re quite long and don’t come in different lengths, I guess they’re a 32 inch leg. I’m only 5’2” so have to roll them up. I have a pair from Next which are a better length but don’t love them, they stretch out a lot and one of the legs gets twisted.

@GabbyGal thanks for re-starting the chat, nothing new to report for me just cracking on with the growing of what I assume to be a boxer 🥊🥊I too need to invest in some maternity wear but I hate shopping online and shops just don't stock them anymore.

Glad to hear your both getting on well too!

Hello all. Thought the last one had taken a sudden halt. Didn't realise they gave a time limit. Nothing to report here expect baby loving to move at the sound of daddies voice Smile

@Jummynbean I don’t usually buy clothes online either but I’ve had to start because there’s so little in the shops. I have a wedding on Saturday and I think I ordered 11 dresses before I got one I like! We’re going on holidays in 2 weeks and I have no summery clothes that fit, and there’s so little summery stuff online it’s all still jeans and jumpers 🙈

Same, here, I thought no one had any news or updates, hadn't realised a thread had a limit lol.

@GabbyGal me, too, 20 week scan showed baby girl is doing great. Still sad she's dancing around in there and I can't feel much. I do feel muffled movement sometimes but then days pass where I feel nothing!

@Mayjane5 that's great news on your NIPT results, it definitely feels good to be able to put that behind you! I had a scare in my last pregnancy regarding blood results, midwife said she wanted to repeat my bloods but refused to tell my why to stop me googling so I wouldn't panic! All turned out well but what a panic lol.

Got my appointment through for my first growth scan, it's in 7 weeks, I can't wait 😍

@GabbyGal yeah def think another daddy boy or girl. Our 3 DS love daddy. Anyone has to remove piercings yet? ( I replaced my 2 belly button bars with plastic maternity and I have had to take them out ). These are not fresh piercings and the plastic really reacted and made belly very sore and angry X

@BunnyBaubles I still haven’t felt any movement but baby was doing gymnastics on the scan earlier! Turns out I do have an anterior placenta.

@GabbyGal it's rubbish isn't it! I really wanted to have the daylight kicked out of me 😂 I really don't feel pregnant most of the time because of the lack of movement.
I asked the sonographer exactly where my anterior placenta was positioned. She was very unhelpful and replied 'oh it's just everywhere' 🤔😂

GabbyGal · 15/03/2019 13:01

@Bunnybaubles 😂 Mine is upper anterior which I guess is good as it’s away from the cervix 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hi everyone!

Thank you for restarting the thread 😊 happy to hear about scans. @GabbyGal I’m still not feeling any movement and I found out at my 20 week scan that my placenta is upper anteria so we are in that together!

I went to the maternity assessment unit this morning becuse I’ve been getting bad shooting pains around my bump. They listened to baby’s heartbeat which they said sounded good and healthy. They couldn’t tell me why I was getting the pains and they haven’t eased up. I would like them to stop now and I would like to start feeling her move so that I can chill out a little!

@GabbyGal it's ok I found you!! I'm well. Little boy seems all good too. Except this heartburn is driving me insane 😔 x

Can I ask mommy's that have been in labour before, was there anything that really helped you to cope? Looking to various bits and pieces like making a playlist, incense, hypnobirthing etc. Just wondering if it's all bull sh*t.

Lovely to hear from you all again ☺️ @Jummynbean yes I think it really depends on what happens as it’s so unpredictable, the breathing techniques I think definitely helped even if it was to focus about breathing instead of the pain, also different positions helped you don’t have to lie in one all the time. If you find things which you feel comfortable with and go with that or even just a wait and see approach is fine too, most people I think who have a birth plan don’t use it, I ended up with an emergency section after an induction so trying to decide what to do for this one.

Mayjane5 · 16/03/2019 13:30

Oh I did pregnancy yoga found that was good for the breathing and relaxing

Report
Jummynbean · 16/03/2019 15:41

I have been to one pregnancy yoga session and one pregnancy swim, I really enjoyed both but unfortunately they are both on at the same time so have to choose. Both of them allow block booking which can be used after baby is born too, so I might do both and alternate.

@GabbyGal mine might be upper anterior too, she did say during the scan that it wasn't near the cervix. Hopefully I'll get a different sonographer at my growth scan, I'll ask again then. So praying I get someone different! My sonographer told me to strip my bottom half and lie on my side... 🤷‍♀️😂

@Delilah7 I’ve been on Omeprazole for just over a week and it has been life changing. GP suggested starting at 40mg a day and said I could take up to 80mg if I need it, but 20mg in the morning is all I’ve needed so far and haven’t had any heartburn at all. I was crippled with it before and was taking 150mg of ranitidine a day plus half a bottle of gaviscon some days! I have a hiatal hernia so suffered badly pre-pregnancy anyway.

@Bunnybaubles I can finally feel some movement! Wasn’t sure at first but last night I knew I could definitely feel baby. Hang in there!
