DH, maybe. Sent him out last time. A really good mw like I had last time would be good.

Community Midwifery Unit at the hospital. Bit like a birth centre but you only have to be transferred in the lift if it all starts going a bit wrong.

Birth Pool and Gas & Air. Survived (just) on gas & air last time.

As this is my first, I have no idea lol!

I'd like DH to be there. As for where - just a nice clean well staffed hospital - is that too much to hope for?

Pain relief - I'd like to do it on gas and air, I would consider going for something stronger if the circumstances required it! Having just had my gallbladder removed after 6 months of it being an absolute pain, and having suffered a cruciate ligament tear, I like to think I have a high pain threshold - I'm sure my illusions of this will be shattered at the time!

Really not sure if I want anyone there but the midwife, in the room at the time. I'll be (hopefully) at a small hospital with a great midwife.

I am going to try to go all-natural, maybe use the birthing pool and do the whole hypno-birthing program, but am open to pain relief if necessary.

my partner and yes a supportive midwife too!

I will be at the hospital as this will be another VBAC (vaginal birth after caesarean) like my last one.

My preference would be water (bath or pool depending on availability) and gas and air, like last time... although i will never rule anything out as my first labour taught me!!

I had gas and air, pethidine, epidural and then after 72 hours i had an emergency section anyway! (though please dont let this scvare you as i went onto have a pretty straight forward labour with number two) we're all different and we all get there int he end!

A confidence inspiring midwife from start to finish would be a bonus for me this time round. Went through a couple of shift changes with my daughter, and ended up being delivered by an absolute mare.

I'm sure she was lovely as a person, but as a midwife to me she was pants.
