"Organic" Burgers

Hiya

Just working late tonight and had an organic cheeseburger delivered, but it's completely pink (luckily i only took a very small bite).

Am i right in thinking that you shouldn't eat pink burgers?? I think i am right and phoned up the delivery company to complain. When i said that it was pink all the way through the bloke said "so you didn't want it rare then?". I quickly told him that you shouldn't eat pink burgers and that he had to make sure my replacement was properly cooked as i was pg.

Silly burk!!!

I think there is more of a risk with pork & chicken that has not been cooked well, and is left pink, than with beef...

did they know you are pregnant> did they ask how you wanted it cooked?

They didn't know i was pg til i told them and certainly never asked how i wanted it cooked when i ordered it!

it's not like the place is a backstreet kebab house either. It's a fookin' expensive delivery place that alot of businesses use (ours included) so they really should know better.

tut tut!

erm
if they didnlt know you were pregnant, then it is not their fault

a good steak mince burger does not have to be incinerated

Rare beef is not a problem...bit over siensitive if due to pg ,not personal taste...

No i realise that lulumama but even if i wasn't pg, i wouldn't eat a burger that was pink!

I hope you enjoyed your recooked burger, I've eaten rare meat all through my pregnancy and have come to no harm at all, baby's well too, I'm such a carnivore overcooked beef would be too much to bear!!

good quality burgers are usually cooked as steak would be- but they are meant to ask how you want it. i can't bear pink meat anyway- blurgh!

Well the second one turned up and it was only cooked all the way through for HALF of the burger so i ended up chucking the rest away.

I dont mind a steak that's slightly pink, but burgers?? No way!!!
