Nearly 28 weeks....and appetite has decreased

Hi - am 27+3 and have been reading that as you head into the final trimester your appetite should increase to feed the extra demands of the baby.
I am experiencing quite the opposite for about 2 weeks. Am eating 3 meals - but they arent very varied (cannot face some foods i loved weeks ago) and they arent overly substantial either. I am happy to wait it out and see if it is a phase that passes but DH is starting to get a little worried.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes - due to lack of room around stomach i felt full very quickly - try to eat healthily and little and often even if it's 6 times a day!

When baby moves down into pelvis ready for birth the pressure lessens and you should be able to eat more again xx

At this stage i think it's all about listening to your body - if you feel like it do it and if you don't don't! The baby is formed and just putting on weight now so relax and put your feet up! Interestingly your body will look after the baby first so if it needs something you're not eating it will depleat your reserves!

thanks chatty for the reassurance. spoke to my midwife as i had to book my next appt and she said not to worry but to make sure - as you said - that i should make sure i get some healthy snacks between the meals.
