Oh OP Sad I'm so sorry.

Have they said why they're cancelling it?

They said its because they are busy . Which i completly understand but it just difficult to keep thinking today's the day and then get let down x

That is stressful, poor you. Remember though, that baby is coming one way or another. You'll be holding them very soon. Good luck

Oh OP Sad I can only imagine how shitty that must be. All I can say is try to distract yourself as much as you can. The classics section on here is great and worth a read if you don't feel up to much.

Oh. And go get yourself some movicol Grin your induction when it happens may leave you erm, a little bunged up if you opt for certain types of pain relief.

@Cookilina sorry it's been cancelled again. Just think this time next week you will DEFINITELY have had your baby.

So sorry tgey are having to mess you around. Advantage is more time for baby to arrive naturally! can you book in for a nice back massage, reflexology or alike today... nice meal and an early night to help relax you... perhaps you will then start spontaneously! Good luck... one way or another your baby will be here soon!

I don't think they let you go more than 2 weeks over so it will be soon. And in some countries they count full term as 41 weeks, not 40, so really you could only be 3 days overdue. Hang in there, it won't be long.

Don’t worry, try to relax. Babies come when they are ready!
My third baby was overdue and in the end I went into labour naturally at 14 days overdue. When she came out she didn’t look overdue at all, I think she just wasn’t ready earlier. Due dates are just a guess really. There’s things you can do to help your body along, like going for a walk. I know it must be hard that they keep cancelling it but this time next week you’ll have your baby and this will all be forgotten Smile

This happened to me, as I had a cold. I was induced at day 14..to be honest you are best waiting if still safe to do so. Rest and watch films.

I would travel to a different hospital at this point.

No they don't. Hmm

And in the mean time, the placenta starts to break down. Which is why people who chose not to get induced, need daily scans on their placenta.

There's medical reasons why we induce at a certain time and that's because babies don't always come when they are ready.

Oh OP Sad

I'm sure you've already thought of this, but is it the only hospital or unit locally? Is there any chance if you call and sob hysterically they could maybe try and get you in somewhere else?

And because I'm nosey, have you picked a name for your little girl Smile ?

Hopefully it will get going soon enough.

I have had 4 inductions and never needed the drip and had unassisted deliveries so no horror stories from me Thanks

Hope it goes well. I was induced with my first and nothing happened so I had a section. Hope yours is nice and smooth.
