I had my 28 week diabetes lucozade blood test last week and the hospital have just called to say that I may have developed diabetes and I need to go back for further testing the week after next...

Does anyone have some advice in regard to diet that would help me in managing my blood sugar in advance of this test? just in case I do have it?

I'm really worried about this, so huge thanks in advance for any advice anyone can give me

A low carbohydrate diet is very good at controlling diabetes. Apart from that and the obvious one of cutting out sugar etc, that's all i can suggest i'm afraid. Try to google gestantional diabetes and see what comes up perhaps?

I am a diabetic. Have been for 33 years. There are lots of great threads on here - you will have to search back.

In the meantime. High Fibre, low fat. GI foods (books) are very good for controlling blood sugars.
Brown bread, brown rice, Jacket potatoes and baked beans. Bananas and fruit.
Ask away.
