How many times do you get up to go to the loo in the night? I have to get up at least twice every single night, more often it's three times a night. I'm getting so tired of doing this, but obviously i cant stop drinking water or anything. Will it ever stop?!!!

yes
but by that point you will also be waking up with heartburn, leg cramps and numb hips and you'll dream wistfully of the days when all you needed to do was stagger to the bathroom and wee to be comfortable again.

Last night was my record. On the hour every hour from 11.30 until 6.30. How I actually had anything left to come out I don't know but I did! Couple that with not being able to get comfy, an achey bump and major hayfever and I had a GREAT night!! NOT!

Bless you, I'm suffering the same - at least every hour and a half now and it's not just needing a wee. My hips are sore and I've got heartburn. I have the biggest bottle of 'peptac' by my bed and have to wash it down with water which means it will be sooner before I have to wee again. If I don't, I'll be lying there with chronic heartburn!

I just look out the window and dream that in a few months time, I'll be up feeding at that time, can't wait and at least my body will be used to it (I hope!).

Last night i got up about 4 times, but only once when i finally went to sleep.

Then i tossed and turned trying to get comfortable when (d)h shouted at me to stay still (he was asleep), so i didn't make him lunch to take to work today.

As to when it will stop i don't think that i have slept all night since before i had dd who is now three and half.

I have to get up at least twice every night too, more usually three or four times. It's driving me slightly crazy too, since the bathroom is downstairs and so I can't just sleepily stumble along without waking up properly, I have to be awake enough so I don't fall down the stairs. Aaaaargh. I have leg cramps when I wake up in the morning too, I had been wondering whether that was a common thing as I didn't have that last time. Ooh, and restless legs too, they're annoying. Remind me again why we go through this?

Have to join in this one after going through this the whole way through my pregnancy so far (am 33 weeks). Honestly, have queued up to go to the toilet when out, been, and by the time I've got out of the cubicle had to turn round and go back in. Is sooooo embarrassing that everytime I'm out anywhere I go, what feels very much like constantly.

I feel for you tokentotty!! Strange thing is, i dont have to go that often during the day, but when it comes to night time, that's it. I'm married to the loo!

Well I'm currently on approximately a two stop nightly routine at the moment which will inexplicably change to every hour on random nights...why ??? WHY ????

I dream of only getting up three times a night! I'm currently up to every 90 minutes, and I'm in the middle of having my bathroom replaced, so I have to step over a selection of tools to get to our loo at the moment!! I am looking forward to having my body back in three months, but then I'll be getting up every couple of hours for another reason! ho hum, a mum's life!

THankfully I only have to get up about twice a night at the moment, but you can guarantee I'll step on one cat on the way, and when I get back, the other two will be laying on my side of the bed.

I'm sure they have a rota.

My record when I was pg with ds was 12 times in 8 hours. After a few weeks of never having more than 45 mins sleep at a time I was pretty much insane - literally - ie I couldn't remember what my 18 month old dd was called at one point.

Only because you're pregnant everyone just goes 'oh, it's perfectly normal'

Report
RGPargy · 21/06/2007 15:21

lol @ mad4girls and Naetha!!

I think my third time is normally about 5am too!

Naetha - i know what you mean about the cats, i'm always having to step over mine on the landing as i go to the loo. I think they are quite well trained re the bed tho and normally sleep near our feet (coz then it's easier to boot them off when you get hot).

I'm not too bad during the night, normally only get up 2 or 3 times to go to the toilet...but it's during the day time that drives me INSANE!!!! Yesterday I went to the toilet 14 times during the day. And I'm only 19 weeks pregnant so am sure it's gonna get a lot worse!!

P.S. Slightly spooked by name similarity with lucy1978 !

I'm getting used to getting up every 1-2 hours, what gets me is manouvering (sp) out of the bed with my bad hips; then I usually can't walk so I have to drag myself along the furniture to get to the bathroom. I started making sure the path is clear a long time ago so I don't fall over anything as I'd have no hope of staying upright!
