Confused over pregnancy tests

Recently took a clearblue digital which came back as not pregnant but then took 3 first response tests which are positive so surely these are false positives right? Would post a picture of the tests but the app won't let me for some reason

How long did you leave between testing? And is your period late?
I had a clear blue digital say not pregnant but a few hours later I tested again with one and came up positive.
First response are more sensitive than the clear blue digital as far as I am aware. I would definitely retest with morning urine.

Just spent the last of my money on the first response tests so will have to wait until next pay day now lol and I'm not sure because I came off the implant nearly a month ago so I was never regular with periods but I've not had one since removal

I think you're pregnant. First response tests are a lot more sensitive than clear blue digital.

Digital are a lot less sensitive. You might not get a positive until youve missed a period.
The first response will be right.
If it's what you want congratulations Thanks

You can pick up cheap tests for £1 in cheap stores like B&M and home bargains, I think Asda even do them cheap too. If you can wait a few more days I would pick one of them up just to check, or get yourself to the doctors and see what they think. Good luck!

My midwife always told me a positive is always a positive a negative is not always a negative. You can't get false positive and first response don't tend to get evap lines either so are more trust worthy. I have a friend who is 11 weeks pregnant and still can't get a positive on a digital test

Ah right okay :) I did try a Sainsburys brand one which was negative but that's the only negative I've had ( that and the clearblue digital) I have tried to book an appointment with a doctor but they said I'll need to wait until November 23rd which is when I have an appointment with a midwife because I would be around 8 weeks on that day

Have you got an appointment with the midwife made? I know a lot of places have completely different systems, I had to see my GP to be able to get intouch with a midwife. I was so confused haha They usually go off your last period, if you've not had one for a while or you are irregular they would not be too sure on dates. I would definitely ring again and get an appointment booked to speak to them at the surgery if you haven't got a midwife app. They would repeat a test and if there was any doubts they would send you for a blood test to check HCG levels.

Yeah I have an appointment booked with a midwife on the 23rd November I did try to get them to see me sooner or at least do a confirmation test but they don't do them because they apparently go by what the tests you take at home says and I'm starting to worry a bit now because I've started to get a bit of stomach cramp it's easing off ever so slightly but I'm hoping it's not my period coming on :/

Yeah I didn't have a test with gp. I had my 7 week app last week and she took around 5 lots of blood and a urine sample to send off which they test for all-sorts including HCG.
I had stumach cramps from 4-6 weeks. They were like period cramps.

Ah right in my doctor's you used to have to get a letter and take it to the local walk in section in the hospital and get a blood test done but they don't do it anymore. And yeah could be I worked it out if I got pregnant on the implant (highly doubtful) then I don't know how many weeks I'd be but if I got pregnant after having it out I would be two weeks today or just under two weeks that's if I'm actually pregnant :)

Well I wish you all the best, if you're only two weeks there is a good chance that your HCG levels are a little too low to be detected by some tests so definitely re test when you can. Keep us updated!

I called my local sexual health clinic the only one in my area and they said they used to do blood tests but don't anymore they can offer just normal pregnancy testing they said I could still come in but they wouldn't recommend it as I've done tests myself at home and I wish I could show picture of the test but it won't let me on here lol x

I think you have to be an active member for around 48 hours before you can upload pictures.

False positives are incredibly rare. I have never come across anyone who had even the faintest of lines and didn't turn out to be pregnant X

I have 🙋 and it definitely wasn't an evap line. I ended up having to have bloods for which confirmed negative. It was really really sureal. The doctor said it was more than likely a faulty batch of tests.

Ah right..does it matter if you take the test out of the plastic to look at the strips? I took it out after I'd seen two lines to take a better look
