What’s the earliest you’ve felt baby move?

I’m 14+4 with dc3 and for the first time the placenta is at the back so I should feel more movements than previous pregnancies.

In the last couple days I’ve felt a few little bumps (not bubbles, I’d definitely call it bumps) but I feel like it’s too early for it to be the baby. Has anyone felt movement as early as 14/15 weeks?

I think I did with DC2, probably around 15 weeks. First was anterior, this one is posterior. It definitely felt like rolling for me.. not bubbles!

Yes, 14 weeks with both DD and this one now (20 weeks). Midwife didn't believe me first time round! With both, DH and I could feel from the outside by 16 weeks. I know that's unusual though.

That’s exciting, so it could be movements and not just my imagination! I’m so glad my placenta isn’t anterior again this time.

Thanks both.

Yes, 13 1/2 weeks, I had a scan at 14 weeks and the sonographer confirmed it was possible as the baby was so close to the skin.

Felt DC2 move crazily early, before the 12 week scan! Think it was about 9 weeks.

I did definitely. I didn’t realise what they were that early in my first pregnancy, but I certainly felt them. Second baby it was similarly early again.

This is my first with a posterior, the other three were all anterior. I swear I felt him for the first time at 10 weeks which is super early but it was such a distinctive feeling, I can’t imagine it being anything else. It happened every so often for the following 4 weeks until the movements became daily and stronger.

Yes 14 weeks with baby and it hasn't stopped.

Not sure why you think it's too early.

Around 14/15 weeks with my first and I have anterior placenta

Isambardo · 11/07/2018 09:29

@bluebug45 it’s just because it’s massively earlier than in my previous pregnancies, 4-6 weeks earlier. Position of the placenta clearly makes a big difference in my case.

I wasn’t aware movements could be felt this early. It’s a nice surprise!

flutters at 11/12 weeks with this pregnancy (no.2 now 22 weeks) was around 15/16 weeks with my first. Proper stomach churning kicks and flips now that you can see and feel from outside now!

9 weeks here with my second born

Only because I knew what to look out for.

If it was my first pregnancy, I wouldn't have known but I knew those butterfly bubble feelings was my little bean moving around
