Hi ladies
Feel free to come and moan / vent/ de-stress and rest those swollen feet here...

Littlefeather Mon 02-Jul-18 20:17:57

We got one of those standing fans, my DP then found a string bag/net somewhere and shoved a load of freezer blocks in it to dangle in front of fan - instant air conditioning. Bliss!

Feeling for you all as a Mum of August & September borns. The autumn walks are lovely...

KTD27 Mon 02-Jul-18 20:50:16

That’s a great idea. There seems to be a slight breeze tonight so it’s a little cooler here. Am really hoping that I can sleep tonight.

lmx0 Mon 02-Jul-18 21:18:59

Well spotted @KTD27!! @Littlefeather what a great idea!!

Bad time today.. in hospital the entire day theres something wrong with babies growth... they want to induce me...
This was my nightmare as my last induction was absolutely horrendous... Needless to say I did not take this news well and fully sobbed in front of a whole load of people... they mustve all thought I was a total delicate flower..

I dont think im going to get my home birth :-(

They didnt even want to let me leave but I signed myself out because the trace of movements and heartbeat of the baby was fine and all they said theyd do overnight was more monitoring and I think I just need a good nights sleep if I am going to have to face an induction.

I did try asking for a section but no one was really having any of it... although they said it was 'up to me in the end'... basically they werent going to help me get one

I really hope I go into natural labour in the night. I let them do a sweep and they said I was 2cm dialated and having contractions every ten mins.... so please pray for me to go into natural labour!!!

KTD27 Tue 03-Jul-18 04:42:56

Oh let’s I’m so sorry!!! I’m PMing you now

SK166 Tue 03-Jul-18 07:40:16

@lets - I’m so sorry to hear that. Keeping everything tightly crossed for you that either you go into labour naturally or you have a much better induction than last time. Keep the faith - it can definitely happen! And eyes on the prize - your baby will be in your arms very soon. Thinking of you.

How is everyone else?

I’m feeling irrationally grumpy as everyone else in my antenatal group has now had their babies except me. Even the woman who was told a couple of days ago that there was no progress at all and no signs of labour so she would likely be having a late induction then just suddenly went into labour and had her baby yesterday. I felt so positive after my last appointment where the midwife said things were progressing but now it’s 5 days later and NOTHING is happening sad I feel like she’s just never going to be here.

KTD27 Tue 03-Jul-18 11:46:32

Well. I’m back from a pretty traumatic appointment. Was fine at first but then my midwife struggled to find baby’s heartbeat. Was the longest 10 minutes of my life. Turns out that they’re laying back to back so the angle was v tricky but I can’t even tell you how scared I was. It brought back so many memories of losing our little girl last year just eugh.
And then we tried a sweep but I’m way way off being ready. Nothing doing there it seems and I’m getting closer and closer to the c section I don’t want. Feeling a bit down and crap.

Sk166 how many weeks are you? I hope something starts moving for you soon

SK166 Tue 03-Jul-18 13:04:46

@KTD - that sounds really stressful and scary. Don’t lose hope though - one of the women in my group couldn’t have her sweep because she was nowhere near ready either, and then she had her baby 2 days later. Hers was also back-to-back and she didn’t have to have a section, so try not to worry just yet. Easier said than done, I know! How many weeks are you? I’m 40+3 now. Nothing so far today!

letsallhaveanap Tue 03-Jul-18 13:11:37

KTD thats mustve been really scary hope you are okay flowers None of my sweeps did anything at all... and they couldnt do one on my friend but she went into labour naturally a few days later anyway! So heres hoping for you! xx

LostMyBaubles Tue 03-Jul-18 15:11:29

Popping in

Kt flowers must have been awful

Sk things will hopefully kick off soon. The last few days are always the hardest

Lets
Hope it all goes smoothly for you.
Its not what you wanted but they are concerned so better out than in.
If you want a section tell them.
They cant say no. Tell them you are worried and hopefully they will listen!

Has anyone had movements that feel like seizures??
Baby does it a lot. I dunno what to think of it and cant describe it any other way

Paie Tue 03-Jul-18 15:54:12

Op of the first sweaty and fretty thread here- I lost my old thread!!! Did it really get to 1000 posts? 😂

How is everyone?? Due date is looming at the end of this month!

LostMyBaubles Tue 03-Jul-18 16:18:13

Ahh often wondered about how you got on op!

Yup its a very 'nice place' to come and talk about how shit we all feel at times!

Im nearly 31 weeks with a larger than average baby (last one was 10lb)

lmx0 Tue 03-Jul-18 18:44:37

@letsallhaveanap what a day you had yday!!! How are you today?
@SK166 fingers crossed your baby gets /her butt into gear and moves out ASAP!!!
@KTD27 awwww op im sorry to hear that massive hugs hopefully as pp have mentioned you baby will just suddenly be ready and come whens your next appointment?
@LostMyBaubles maybe worth a mention to mw? Your there this week aren't you? Its prob nothing but better to mention and put your mind at rest
@Paie yipp yours got all filled up!! (Thats how popular it was!) whats your dd? How are you doing?
Im doing pretty well atm few pains in my huff but thinking its the wonderful lightening crouch/fanny daggers whatever you wanna call them!!

LostMyBaubles Tue 03-Jul-18 19:00:59

Imx0 those pains are horrible!!
Hope they are doing something productive!

I will be mentioning it to her, yep mw this week.
Some days hes 'over active' and some days a lil slower. Now the shaking movements last from 5 secs to 30 secs sometimes and can be a few times a day. But not everyday 🤔

Paie Tue 03-Jul-18 19:12:54

@lmx0 28th july! I haven't packed my hospital bag yet shock

lmx0 Tue 03-Jul-18 21:30:50

@Paie your two days after me!! Ive mine done but no doubt ill go through it again!!
@LostMyBaubles hopefully so i keep getting pressure as if theres a brick in my pelvis but it goes again so i was thinking little miss is having a good game of innie outtie!! Hope your appointment goes well let us know!! Did you feel that with any of your other pregnancies?

Spanglyprincess1 Wed 04-Jul-18 06:02:51

Had my baby boy yesterday afternoon , scarily quick labour Of a few hours only ( no time for drugs!) and surgery for me post delivery but we're both doing really well.

lmx0 Wed 04-Jul-18 07:22:16

@Spanglyprincess1 massive congrats!! Glad you both are doing well enjoy all the newborn cuddles!!! 💙💙

BoomBlastandRuin Wed 04-Jul-18 10:15:33

Can I join? 37 weeks today, 2nd baby and totally fucking done in.

Expecting to go overdue as well since #1 was 12 days late when she finally made an appearance after a slow induction which ended up in forceps.

BeardofZeus Wed 04-Jul-18 10:49:01

37+2 and utterly exhausted. Feet like blocks of lead, carpal tunnel meaning I have no dexterity in either hand and general lethargy really getting me down. Wish I had the energy to do some exercise/walking to get the baby out! Cant do much else than just lie on the sofa with a fan on...

lmx0 Wed 04-Jul-18 12:35:41

@BeardofZeus & @BoomBlastandRuin welcome & congrats!!! Sounds like your both ready for baby to be born!! And both due around same time as me (26th!) boom i hope you dont go over this time and beard its way to hot to do anything outdoors!! (Apart from sitting in the shade maybe!)

BeardofZeus Wed 04-Jul-18 12:41:04

@lmx0 yes! The 23rd but dreaming of labour starting imminently!!

Keep getting heart palpitations when I lie down and feeling generally woozy but I physically cannot drink any more water than I already am so it cannot be dehydration surrrrrely?? Eurgh.

Thought I felt a twinge of a contraction earlier - was just my belly rumbling from hunger haha grin

lmx0 Wed 04-Jul-18 13:08:31

@BeardofZeus im happy enough for baby to stay put for another week yet as ive a few things I wanna get done before hand and im not too uncomfortable just yet however that could very soon change!!! Ohhh i wouldn't know whats causing them but shouldn't be dehydration if your drinking plenty

LostMyBaubles Wed 04-Jul-18 13:43:17

Spangly congrats! Hope you are both ok

Paie thought you'd had baby! Ive had my bag packed since around 24 weeks mark (well started then just have a few bits to put in) as sil had her last child at 24 weeks and wasnt prepared

Boom and Beard welcome 🤗

Beard could you be aneamic? Happens to me when I am

Imx0 whens your next appt?

Got lots of constant pain and pressure right at bottom of bump
