WHERE IS MY BABY?!?

crispysausagerolls · 22/06/2018 14:29

I’m only 37+2, but I have been having painful contractions on and off for a week now. I have lost my mucus plug. My baby is on the large side and I have moments every day where I am sure this is it, only for contractions to stop. My pelvis is agony and I am so uncomfortable and I just want my baby here now!!!!!!! Anyone else in a similar position? Starting to lose it a bit...

Ditto to all of the above. I'm 37+5 and had enough now! The weather doesn't help either, I constantly feel like a sweaty mess. I've spent this morning batch cooking to freeze ready for once baby is here, and I've had to take myself off to lay on the sofa because SPD is killing me. I am literally counting down the days until I can (reasonably) beg to be induced!

Don't want to make you miserable but I had these pains from 38 weeks and my baby was born at 41 weeks! I had sharp shooting pains and tightenings every day til the day she was born Shock

FML 😭😭😭😭 poor you - I really hope that doesn’t happen to me!

So pleased to hear it’s not just me! I feel so ungrateful and awful but I just can’t go any longer! Plus I just want to meet him now - I hope for both of us things pan out before the heatwave next week 😳 I keep reassuring myself with the statistics that most babies arrive before the due date

39+4 and I've been having these kinda pains on and off for a week or so. Still no sign of baby. Realistically I know that he will arrive at some point but in my most irrational sleep deprived moments it feels like I am going to be pregnant forever.

I’m finding the “labour symptom spotting” that I can’t help doing even worse than pregnancy symptom spotting 🙈 knowing they will arrive and being rational has no place when combined with a tired and hormonal woman 😂

Hit 39 weeks today and I almost cried when, after having been on my feet cooking ALL MORNING, I felt like baby had disengaged and moved way back up so now I can’t breathe and SPD is brutal today.

No cramps, no BH, no ‘show’, no nothing. Will she ever get here?!

Do you think we’ll all eat our words when they actually get here and we’re sleep-deprived, hormonal wrecks with stitches and cracked nipples?

Is there talk of induction? Your baby is surely coming this week! (Or even today!)

I hate the not knowing.

crispy don't rush it, baby still has some really good growing to do in there..

Also they're much easier to look after on the inside, pain or not!!

Do most babies statistically arrive before the due date? I did not know this, I thought most first babies were late!
38+5 here and not looking forward to next weeks heat wave but don't think this baby is making an appearance anytime soon!!

Oh cripes, i didn’t know about that! But they never stay in there anyway past 42 weeks do they? I’m sure he or she will be along any moment now (I really hope so for you, can’t even imagine the discomfort/annoyance of going over!)

I'm trying to stop myself looking for labour symptoms but it's not easy. I was induced 1st time and I've appear to have blocked the memory of the contractions from my mind although that might be down to the pethidine Haha.

38+4 today, lost mucous plug at 36w. Having occasional cramps which I presume to be Braxton Hicks when out walking the dog but otherwise no signs of anything.
Don't want to go beyond 41+3 as then I can't go to midwife led unit!

Are people trying anything to bring their labour on with old wives tales?! 😂🙈

Thank you 😊 we avoided induction by 5.5 hours haha.
I tried everything, literally. Sex, curry, crab walking up the steps, cleaning the floor, long walks. Only thing i refused to try was the caster oil. My 9lbs 6oz bruiser was too comfy haha
