Fugly maternity bras??

Are there any maternity bras out there that are:
A. Comfortable
B. Not a gazillion pounds
C. Don't make you look like you have one big saggy mono boob?
My normal bra size is 32FF, so I am still cramming my now enormous , soon to be bigger ( 30 weeks atm) boobs into a non padded, but still underwired bra. It's getting critical now!!

Afraid I never found one... I was a 32G before DD. I got nursing bras at Bravissimo which I didn’t hate, but certainly didn’t do as much for me as a well fitting underwire bra!

Oh gosh I've been wondering this. My usual 34GGs have now said goodbye to their lovely lacy bras and said hello to some maternity bras in a 36H that are not at all pleasing. My boobs have stopped hurting and burning though.

I'm only 10 weeks pregnant and the idea of another 30 weeks of bland, mumsy, frumpy bras that do nothing for my boobs, then still being in the nursing bra range is not appealing at all.

The bras I got were from mothercare btw. They fit, they're comfortable and had 25% off. But my boobs are meeting in the middle and sweating (yuck) and just aren't as held up as I generally like from my usual wired bras, and are very unsexy.

No I didn't. They don't look like my sort of thing either. I'm 23+3 at the moment and went to Bravissimo a few weeks ago but the lady doing the fitting didn't really seem to understand that I want something I can 'grow into' so I just came away with a bra that fits very similarly to my existing ones, slightly frustrating. It is a nice bra though. I'm trying to hold out with the larger of what I have left now as I'm worried I'm going to have a sudden massive increase in another 10 weeks or so...

Yes ! Im a 38G they do them.in debenhams. Moulded breastfeeding bra. Loved um I had two boobs not one uncomfortable sweaty boob of death. They are 22quid each though which isn't that bad. Freya do some giant boob mat bras too which again offer actual support

I had the Freya nursing bra. Which suited me fine, was soft but also supportive. I had to go underwired with my 32HHs!

Should say when I had DC1 13 years ago I just stuck to "normal" underwired bras but my boobs weren't as large that time around and didn't seem to get much bigger during pregnancy either! This time around they're ridiculous.

I used to work at Bravissimo and traditionally we didn't refit ladies until near the end of their pregnancy when milk starts to come in, so I can see why she did that. However she should still have listened to your requests.

I've got a Hot Milk bra and a Panache maternity, but my boobs still look terrible. Suppose I'll need to grin and bare it.

Hot Milk are quite nice for maternity and nursing, you can save a bit in their clearance section too.

@YourHandinMyHand I know what you mean. We feel grotty enough at times during pregnancy, it would be nice to feel that at least our boobs are still sexy! I hate it when they meet in the middle and get sweaty, so roll on the summer

I'm a 32H/HH at just 10w5d. That's 2 cup sizes up! A friend recommended Hotmilk and I managed to find one in my size. It's comfortable and looks nice, flexiwire with room for expansion. I recommend them if you're A-H but not much choice for bigger. The one I bought goes up to a J.

Try amazon, I am wearing a nice black underwired nursing bra in a 34G that cost £12.

I'm just in my normal underwired ones - but obv refitted for my giant pregnancy boobs.

I believe the advice re non wired bras is because so many women wear the wrong size bra so run the risk of ill fitting wires damaging milk glands etc, but if you are properly fitted then there is no reason not to wear under wire. I recommend a trip to bravissimo, they'll be able to advise and have a good range of nursing bras for after baby arrives if you need them.

I went and tried some mat bras a couple weeks back but hated them all so much that I just ended up getting bigger normal wired bras! The fact my 34Es are now up to 36FF and starting to look sad and gravitate South is too depressing without some kind of wiring to drag them back up again!
The new bras are going ok at the mo but at 20 weeks I know I will need to face the maternity bra depression soon!

Currently hanging around 32J/JJ territory and no way am I giving up my wires anytime soon. So far I've not found anything non wired that is good enough that I'd feel comfortable wearing it to work (for example) although I've just picked up the new Freya non wired one to try out so I will report back.

I do have a Molke but I wasn't hugely impressed, getting it over my boobs was a bit of a challenge to say the least.

Last time I stayed in wires until I finished work at 38 weeks, mostly didn't get dressed or leave the house for the last two and then was back in wires asap afterwards. They're fine so long as they fit well!

I am not as big boobed as some of you on this thread (30F pre pregnancy but my boobs grew quite early on, would estimate I'm now a 32G ish), and I am managing with the Emma Jane soft nursing bras that come in sizes like "34 B-F" and are like crop tops. I spent over £200 ordering and trying various non-wired Freya and other brand bras that were just awful. The cups would always collapse at the bottom. I am going to invest in some nice wired nursing bras AFTER baby arrives and milk comes in, and if I can get established with bf. I really miss nice wired bras!

I have seen people raving about Molke bras on here before, but I don't understand how you can wear them with clothes that aren't dark and completely opaque? Who would buy a printed bra that you can't wear under a white t-shirt or even a non-black top?

I don't use maternity bras! No thank you! I use the non-wired bra from Tesco its £10 and Sooooooo comfy! I actually have 3! Deffo recommend x

I'm 34G and had to stop wearing underwire quite early on (too painful). Got a few in mothercare- by no means attractive but fairly good support and shape even in fitted tops
