I’ve just had my BFP after 3 years of trying, will be DC2 (touches wood). The NHS due date calculator has my due date around the 2nd Feb. Anyone else ready to jump on board? Grin

I’ve just had my positive test today. I had a chemical last month so I’m not getting to excited yet but all going well I’ll have EDD 3rd Feb 😍

Depending upon my cycle (which I don't know as I've been on the pill for 15 years) then its from 31st Jan to 2nd Feb Grin

However I'm trying not to get too excited - I'm obese, underactive thyroid and 34 so all things that aren't great for a full-term pregnancy.

This will be DC1 for me and in cycle 3.....I honestly thought it would take much longer so was planning on losing some of this weight.

I’m feeling very cautious too, I had a MC at 10 weeks before DD existed. I’m 39, overweight but have recently lost 3 stone. I’m trying to focus on the fact that I’m in the best shape I have been for years. Here begins the longest 8 weeks of our lives ladies! Wishing you sticky beans, baby dust and all that jazz!

Hi 👋 can I join?
Got a bfp on Monday after 6months of TTC for DC2. Super excited!!
Going by first day of last period, EDD is 31st jan but slightly longer cycles so I reckon more likely 3rd Feb??
Congrats to all!

Also just got my BFP, and based on the NHS website I'm due on the 4th Feb. Counting down the weeks to the 12 week scan now! Has anyone got in touch with the midwife etc yet? I'm moving house in 3 weeks so was going to hold off contacting them until then so the address is the new one, but that might be a bit too late.

Hi @Fredthespider! No I haven't made a booking appointment yet, I will do when I get home from holiday though!
In 3weeks time may be a bit late I guess? They did my booking appt at 8weeks for DC1

Hi! I’ve just confirmed being pregnant with number 2. Due 4th Feb. Hoping to go full term this time as was induced three weeks early last time. How’s everyone doing?Smile x

Kidneybean2016 · 30/05/2018 19:52

Hi @Fredthespider We are due the same time :-) I phoned and have made my meet and greet appointment for two weeks time - earliest I could get. Was really hoping to do this week as I’m a teacher and it’s half-term. Don’t want people guessing as they always ask the reason for time off x

Hi @Kidneybean2016 wow 3 weeks early, I was a week overdue 😫!
I'm feeling good atm, significant bloating, tender boobs and lower back ache but other than that all good. How about you?

Report
TheTittifersHaveSungTheirSong · 30/05/2018 19:55

Ahh I'm a teacher too! So tricky with time off isn't it! Hey ho-just say doctors appointment...they can't really push for more reason than that

I feel weirdly not pregnant as got no symptoms except lack of AF. I've been to the doctor and they are referring me to the midwife unit.

Report
Fredthespider · 30/05/2018 20:10

I think you're right that it'll be a bit too late. I was going to leave it a week or so just to get that little bit further along as I hate the idea of cancelling the appointment! Must try to be more optimistic.

It's so nice to have people to chat to in the same boat. This is my first and other than each other my OH and I aren't planning on telling anyone until after 12 weeks. I've got no symptoms at all either, I had a little implantation bleeding last week but nothing else, hoping that continues!

Yes we aren't planning on telling anyone until the 12week scan either, currently drinking tonic water disguised as a G&T on holiday with family. Have a mini festival thing in a few weeks that usually involves heavy all-day drinking...not sure how I will dodge that one yet!

Report
Fredthespider · 30/05/2018 20:28

I'm not a big drinker so not drinking won't raise any suspicion thankfully, but the people at work are terrible for guessing. Lovely colleague went to nearly 19 weeks before announcing and there was so much gossip going around as she was showing quite a bit.

If you can take your own alcohol could you buy a screw top bottle of wine and replace it with some non-alcoholic stuff? Only problem is if you get asked to share someone might guess!

Hi! Got my first BFP this week, EDD is likely first week of February. Does anyone know how long it should take to hear back from a self-referral to a hospital? Since it's my first pregnancy, I just have no idea what to expect. I filled out the form yesterday.

@TittifersHaveSungTheirSong My little boy changed movements so they scanned and thought he was going to be tiny. He was 6lb so a decent weight. Must be really difficult being overdue too! I find at my place you have to explain appointments. I only work part-time now but mid-wife day is on one of my work days - typical. Tried to get the booking appointment this week but no luck. Are you having a fab holiday? I lived off non-alcoholic cider last pregnancy and I don’t really drink. Was a hot summer x

@TheTIttiferHaveSungTheirSong I’m ok. A few light-headed spells. Boobs have been tender and ribs a bit sore but nothing like first pregnancy where I 100% knew I was pregnant from 2 weeks in. This time I just thought there was a chance lol x

Hi ladies can I join?
I got my BFP last week, I’m 4+2 today. Very nervous as I had a missed MC at 12 weeks in December and a chemical in March. I’m terrified of going what I went through in December again, I don’t think I could mentally or physically handle it. Trying to stay as positive as possible and praying this bean sticks. Got my first scan in less than 3 weeks, at 7 week mark. So scared for it, desperate for good news!!
Good luck to everyone with bfp’s - I hope every single one of these beans stick & hoping for lots of healthy and happy pregnancies 🤞

Hi everyone! After years of trying I got a bfp this morning at 4.20am and am now totally failing to get back to sleep Grin

Terrified as my mum had loads of miscarriages/ectopics but fingers crossed. It’s the first time I’ve ever had a bfp - I was going to ask about IVF if not pregnant this month.

My EDD is 10th Feb. Good luck everyone!

@Kidneybean2016 yes I work part time too and the midwife day would also be on a work day!
Yes holiday is lovely thanks, just nice to get away from everything for a bit! Will be good to get home though and now have to sneak non-alcoholic drinks in around my sister!!
@Fredthespider yes my OH suggested non-alcoholic stuff but What usually happens is everyone takes a few bottles and we all just too each other up! Kinda think it's going to be a nightmare-it'll be took early to tell friends too. Maybe I'll just have to bail out and not go (though we've already brought tickets) or say I'm on antibiotics or something?!

Hi @hayleyfx @baby4u52 @ronniemipperton congrats on the bfp!
Sorry to read about your losses @hayleyfx hoping this is a smooth 9months for you!!

@baby4u52 dc means Dear/Darling Children I think! We all are due around the same time-I'm still in the can't quite believe it stage and have checked the test too many times to count!!!

@ronniemipperton that's great news, I wouldn't have been able to go back to sleep either!! 😁 how long have you been TTC for? Hoping you don't have the same struggles as your mum did.
