11 weeks and a shooting pain....

Hi ladies! Haven’t posted in awhile and hope you’re all well and getting along great in your pregnancies.

I’m a little uneasy, tonight I experienced this shooting bizzare pain on the left hand side above my belly button. It was unlike any pain I’ve experienced (didn’t feel like trapped wind though obviously I could be mistaken) it happened so suddenly I screamed. If you don’t know I’m alone in this pregnancy will be a single mum. Just feeling a bit scared and over whelmed. Appreciate any first hand experiences, or if anyone might know the reason for the pain. I’ve read about the uterus expanding and that hurting, but it says that’s mild. This was a sudden sharp shooting pain. :(

If you're 11 weeks and it was above your belly button it wasn't in you uterus! It's most like a muscle or tendon pulling as everything develops and gets bigger. I got a lot of random pains in my first pregnancy!

Don’t worry I’ve been getting so many pains!!! I’m 9 weeks but I’m showing already... it’s my second pregnancy tho so prob is why! When I spoke to dr and midwife they didn’t seem concerned, said it’s ligament pain, yesterday my back was agony! Xxxx

Firstly congratulations on your pregnancy !! :)

I hope you are feeling better now.

Around 9 weeks i suffered from some very strange pains and sensations but all were just down to the changes in my body and just the joy of muscles, tendons and ligaments. Im now 26 weeks pregnant and still have pains every now and then. Checked with the midwife and i have bad pain that woke me up when i was alseep. She gave me the once over and confirmed that it was ligaments.
