Summer Maternity Clothes

Hi 👋🏻

I am on the search for my summer maternity wardrobe. I'm 5'3 so quite short and normally a size 14. Huge boobs regardless of being pregnant so high necked stuff is out. I hate my arms so like to cover them! Baby due in September.

Any suggestions? I've been looking at maxi dresses with the really thin arm covering open cardi type things over the top but they are all massively long!

Please help!

Have you tried ASOS? Good maternity range, or H&M maybe? X

I had a fab pair of light cotton maternity trousers from new look when I was pregnant over summer. Can wear with a t shirt?

They are nice @ThatsNotEvenAWord they've only got a size 8 sadly.

I am looking online, it's more what style of jugs to go for than where to go. I was heavily pregnant in winter last time so maternity jeans and snuggly jumpers suited me just fine!

Its a while ago for me but I was pregnant in summer.

I invested in two pairs of lightweight stretch cotton 3/4 length maternity trousers.

They were a life saver.

I had a black pair and pale blue.

I'm not a dress/skirt person so it worked well.

I could dress them up or down and wear with kitten heels or converse.

I then just bought some (or stole from DH) tee shirts in bigger sizes for everyday and some nice (non maternity just larger size) stretch jersey tops that I accessorised with nice jewellery/scarfs etc for the evening.

I'm currently living in these two:

www.seraphine.com/en-gb/tile-print-woven-maternity-dress.html

I'm 5'7" and I'd prefer a bit more length in them both so they should be great on you! The blue one is in the sale currently and I think would be good for bf in the autumn/winter as would layer up nicely. I've got massive boobs too and has to size up to accommodate them in the blue dress, but not in the black one. Both cover bingo wings 🙏🏻 and have been fab in this hot weather.

I'm due with baby no 2 in October and having similar problems. They've decided leggings are not allowed at work so my baby no 1 pregnancy wardrobe of maternity leggings and tunic dresses is a no go. Maxi dresses are usually too long for me. I find it really annoying that most stores only do maternity stuff online now so you can't try things on before you buy.

I have just got a whole new maternity wardrobe from ASOS.

Discount code for 20% off everything (including sale) code: EVERY20 ends Wednesday at 8am.

Definitely need to be quick lots selling out as I was adding to my basket 🙂

I live in the med, normal size 14 big boobs too. I had 2 pregnancies over very hot summers.

I got most things from asos I think they did petite maternity stuff too. I also found harem pants in normal sizes fit for ages and looked ok with longline maternity vest tops from asos which they had in all sorts of colours.

I also had a very flattering and supportive one piece swimsuit from them which was definitely worth the money.

I was pregnant last summer and about your size. It's so hard to find decent clothing.

Topshop maternity dresses are lovely but on me they were too short by the time I was 30 weeks so I wore leggings underneath.

I found some petite harem trousers on ebay and wore vests with them. New look and asos and roomy maternity ones.

With maxi dresses I just bought regular length ones and took them up. You don't have to do a massively good job as it's only for short-term wear.

Thanks for the ASOS code Wink, I’m now going on a maternity clothing hunt.

I love ASOS, boohoo, new look and h&m’s range. Try culottes, thin trousers or pencil skirts with tshirts or vest tops. Or a dress with tshirt sleeves/a cardigan to cover your arms.

Also remember it probably won’t be warm for very long Wink.
