Hi Pink

I'm a bit further on than you (17 weeks now) but didn't want you to go unreplied too

I had an ectopic a few years ago too after several early mcs and then conceived my son at the next attempt, he's now nearly three and the light of my life.

I'll never forget that first scan, I wouldn't look at the screen until she told me it was Ok and she could see the hearbeat. I have a picture too and although you really can't see anything its one of my most special things ever.

Good luck for tomorow and for the rest of your pregnancy

Not sure when you'll be due but I'm sure there'll be an antenatal club for that month for you to join

Aahh thanks pheebe - its all very quiet, maybe most people are on their second, third or forth baby by now. I feel exactly the same about the scan. So pleased to hear your success stories though and best of luck to you too

Hi there pinkelephant.
I'm on my 2nd pregnancy, this one will be going full term (hopefully)Am 8 weeks tomorrow.
Last time was 10 years ago and i am ashamed to say the circumstances were not great.
I know thats no reason to have a termination, but it was right for me then. I was 18. had no job. lived at home. split from the dad.
I will probably get some harsh comments back, thats ok. People are entitled to their opinion.
But i've been married now for 9months,Been with him gor 3 1/2 yrs.
Love him to bits.
Got my midwife appointment on 5th June, not sure when scan will be. But so looking forward to it.

Imawurzel
I think this is the last place you'll find any harsh words for deciding to have a termination. Most of us know making that sort of decision is incredibly difficult and very very personal and those that don't aint worthe speaking to! Good luck to all of you, fingers crossed for a busy December/January for you all

There's a thread for first-timers due in the last quarter of 2007 - you'd be welcome to drop in there!

Sorry, I don't know how to link, but it should be in the active posts for tonight.

Thank you for all your lovely words. I went for the scan today to find out my beanie has made it to my womb this time . Am sooo relieved, first hurdle crossed . We could only see the sac as I am apparently 5.5wks rather than 6wks so I have to go back in two weeks for another scan. Fingers and everything crossed

Frogger - how exciting!! Have you had a scan yet? How are you feeling?

Kerrymum - thank you Love hearing these success stories

Imawurzel - Congrats about being 8wks!! Nobody in their right mind would make any judgements about you, it sounds like it was an extreemely hard time for you and can't imagine what tough decisions you had to make for yourself. So glad the circumstances are different for you now. We're coming up to a year of marriage this weekend....a year!!! Where has that gone to?!! I have my second scan on the 4th June, so keep me posted and lots of luck with yours

Elsieannejoanne - thank you!!

I am very pleased for you Pinkelephant what a relief. I havent had any scans yet. They wont give you one here unless you have bleeding etc or had 3+ mcs.
I have very few symptoms sore boobs but no nausea etc. Was worried to start with but have since discovered quite common.
So pleased once again!

Hi all,
Can I get your ideas on flying ladies.... We've got brief holiday booked in Canada for a friends wedding in 10days time. By then I will be 7-8wks pregnant - do you think it is safe to fly? Would you go or stay and put your feet up? Generally feel a bit washed out and queasy......help what would you do?

Frogger - thats terrible that they won't scan you early. Have you to wait till 12wks? Oooh full sympathy with the sore boobs, I have the same ouch . I'm also feeling a bit nauseous and terribly tired, didn't think it would all start this early.

Lillyloo - coming to join you on the other threads.....

pinkelephant, glad all is ok, don't know anything about cysts i'm afraid.
Wouldn't have a clue on the flying thing either. I'm not very knowledgeable(sp) am i!
My boobs aren't as sore as they were last week. When i took bra off at night and let them free, it was not comfortable at all. Started wearing a sports bra to bed. Helped when i turned at night, they didn't go everywhere.
Still feeling yucky though, would rather be sick to get it out of my system. feeling hungry all the time, yet sick. Not good. must go get ready for work now.
Sorry for long post. I blabber on don't i!!

Not sure about the flying thing Pink. I would say contact your midwife or doctor. They would be able to advise you.
I have had some slight spotting and my doctor is sending me for a scan on Monday. Getting worried about it now because of the lack of symptoms. God why is pregnancy never simple!!

Imawurzel hope you are feeling a bit better now.

I flew a lot in the first trimester, without any problems (except feeling crap). There's no reason not to, although of course make sure you have travel/medical insurance (most policies will cover you to 32 weeks).

I wouldn't have fancied such a long trip though - not from a safety perspective but just from a knackeredness one.
