I don't know any babies fed rusks, I was brought up abroad and my mum thinks they are too sweet for babies. But I only bought rusks once. My most consistent craving has been oats (I've always liked porridge) so ready break was a better impulse purchase. I've eaten too much junk food recently but I'm being good today, starting the day with porridge, strawberries and blueberries.

@Embracethechaos ive never tried them due to that fact alone but im the same junk food tastes so much better though!! And good on you for trying

Feeling super organised today, got lots of finance done and bought breastfeeding items from boots now we are taking the dog to the vets for his annual vaccine. So tiered, but trying to get everything in order before the house move at the end of May now I'm off work. Haven't actually done much on my hobbies, I get uncomfortable sitting for any length of time.

Oh yeah, I keep forgetting the date and day of the week now I'm off work, struggle to remember how many weeks pregnant I am when people ask. Grin yep, definitely got lots to keep me happy am just sometimes arguing with my husband about furtiture choices.. Space for big comfy chair is a priority to me but he doesn't seem to understand... I'd love my parents recliner, my dad only got it for after an operation and my mum never liked it.

@lmx0 just finished to start my week off. Cramping has stopped. Had a tiny bit of discharge this morning but midwife wasn't concerned 🤷🏼‍♀️ so I'm just doing positive mental thinking :)

Imxo, might do that, we've got to move before we have room for furtiture though. I've bought a proper pregnancy pillow, it's great so bed is my current relax zone.

Hi ladies!
Can I join the thread? New to MN and currently 32 weeks with my first and due on 26th June. Didn’t find out until nearly 20 weeks so still a bit overwhelmed!

@Imx0 thank you! Yes, certainly was a surprise, we were thinking about TTC in the summer though so things just happened a bit sooner than planned. I’ve not been too bad at all thank you, been having braxton hicks for the last couple of weeks and I’ve become very sensitive to certain smells 🤢 but otherwise I’m feeling good. Baby is a good size, not sure where he/she was hiding to start with but bump appeared at 24 weeks and now I feel huge. Thank you for asking! 😊

Hi hearts, and welcome. Must have been a shock but at least you knew before you were giving birth.. You do hear stories. GrinI'm 30 weeks and also feel as though my bump has just grown from nothing. I'm not sure whether I've had braxton hicks, I've had a few aches and cramps but think it's mostly digestive system, my cramps were more in my legs and I'm on iron supplements now. What do braxton hicks feel like? Are they all over your bump?

Hearts22 · 04/05/2018 21:59

Hi Embrace, yeah it’s like a tightening and squeezing all over the bump, not painful exactly but definitely uncomfortable.
Haha yeah I’ve heard about those women who don’t know until they gave birth and could never understand how they didn’t know, but now I’m not in any position to say anything 😂

Fab news @lmx0 cramping has subsided a lot but I can definitely second the smells thing. I threw up this morning as my OH left out the grill tray with all the bacon fat in 🤢

I work in a gift shop and we sell so many different candles 🤢😩 I also have a craving for Terry’s chocolate orange at the moment but the smell of them makes me gag, it’s a no win situation! 😂

My partner has always had a sensitive smell, so I'm just a bit like him now. For me my increased hearing sensitivity has been a harder, esspesally crying babies but also any high pitch noises like squeeky brakes. Gives me a headake. Anyone else had this?

I've just spend over an hour researching reusable nappies..E-mailed a local nappy consultant and sent off a questionaire, time to do something else, this early maternity leave is maybe not the best for my sanity...when did baby items become so complicated...I'd like to use a combination of disposable and reusable but the number of brands and types is mental....

Hi all! Well done for setting up the new group! I hadn't had change to look when I last got notifications and then it went quiet! I thought everyone had stopped posting! But I've found you :)
I am really starting to try and buy things and get organised. Does anyone have a list of things we need to get? I'm hoping to breastfeed - but I'm not sure what I'll need! Pump.. Bottles serilisor??
If anyone has a good list from clothes to pram etc I would be extremely grateful! I have seen some online, but am unsure as to whether they are being sponsored..
How are you all doing today? Finally Friday! Is it just me or has this short week lasted longer than one without a bank hol! Hmm xx
