Early scan - 9 days behind dates

Just looking for advice really and positivity. Had an early scan this morning due to pelvic pain. Luckily baby in the right place however measuring 9 days behind. From my LMP I should be 7+6 but scan showed 6+4, 8.4mm CRL with foetal cardiac activity.
My periods are normally regular ish - ranging from 29-36 days. I'm pretty sure I ovulated CD18-20 so would have ended up being a longer cycle. Just heard horror stories about slow-growing babies and poor prognosis.. anyone else experienced this??

Hi I had an early scan and they dated me 6 days behind where I thought due to period start date, I’ve just had my 12 week scan and now I’m back to where I originally was. Fingers crossed the same to you x

I had an early scan at what 7+6weeks based in my LMP and was dated 6+5 by the scan. Went for a scan due to some bleeding at 11 weeks and was dated at 12 weeks! Exactly where I should have been based on LMP. They did my 12 week scan same day as the one booked for me was now too late according to sonograher

I think it’s common for early scans that date you a little earlier as baby is so small at that stage it’s hard to get a really accurate reading.

Thanks so much. I'm trying to remain calm and positive and think well, there's a heartbeat so that must be a good sign. I'm also a hormonal mess though and going mad on Dr. Google. They want me back in two weeks but I think I'll go back in a week just to make sure there's still growth and a heartbeat..

I had the same, they dated me back a week.. Got me in 11 days later and little one had grown so much ... My dates were brought forward a couple of days and then by my 12 week I was back at where I originally thought I was due to ovulation!

Try not to worry :) They are so small will be hard to get accurate results.

With dd1 my date was moved nearly 3 weeks. At my 12 week scan they said I was only measuring 9wks and I really couldn't understand how that could be possible.

DD1 is a very healthy 19 year old now.
