21+4 baby lying low

Anyone else had or having this issue? I'm convinced baby is lying VERY low. I feel kicks and rolls very low, literally above my c section scar. She was laying very low at my scan next to my bladder. Today and yesterday i am fairly uncomfortable. Sometimes feels like I've been kicked in the cervix but with her being so low i can imagine thats why. Anyone experianced or experiencing this? Was everything ok? I'm such a worrier lol

30 weeks/whalemode and hes spent more time kicking/punching above my pubic bone than anywhere else. He must be in a weird position a lot of the time but that’s where I feel it the most, when he moves slightly like now the movements feel so much stronger

Also when he moves up slightly the pressure off my pelvis feels amazing

I wonder if she will move up do you think? I sometimes feel i need to go for a poo but i don't. That started yesterday along with this. I desperatley want her to move up lol. I never had this with my first DD x

Both DS and now this one have been low. Tbh I though kicks at the bottom of my tummy where my knickers sit was normal! I've been getting kicked in the bladder for weeks! When I had DS they quite often struggled with scans as he was so low, this time that is better at least!

30 weeks here. Been getting cervical kicks ever since I started feeling movement at around 18 weeks. They've lessened but I nonetheless still get them. My baby must also be laying low, and I feel most movement below my belly button and baby puts a lot of pressure on my bladder!

As I feel*

Also, I've been trying to figure out what position my baby must be in seeing as I feel most movement/pressure low down. Anyone know?

I can deal with the kicks. Its the pressure in my bum and uncomfortable feeling. I'm not sure if i should be worrying or not. Its not constant and laying down helps x

At this stage baby would be quite low anyway, I think? I'm 22 weeks and get all my kicks by the waistband of my knickers!

Im 33+3 and baby has always kicked and moved low down in pelvis. It's only been the last month that I've felt anything above the belly button. As I write it's just constant jabs down low which is from hands up around his face. He's been in the same position (head down since 20 weeks) and I have scans every 2 weeks due to high BP. Doesn't sound like you have anything to worry about.

I'm worried about the pressure not the kicks

I’m 21 weeks and I had to have 3 20 week scans as baby is so low they couldn’t do all the measurements with how she was laying. Although she’s also off the scale in size so no wonder I’m waddling!

DS was always very low and despite my hilarious waddle there were no issues!

The pressure is from them being so low. I thought he was going to punch his way out at one point! I hate tbe constant feeling of needing the toilet too. I struggle sitting upright and find laying down on my side or leant back on the sofa much easier. My DS1 was breech with his head in my ribs and I felt much more comfortable in that pregnancy than with this one!

Have you mentioned to your midwife about the pressure and your concerns?

You could try the polar bear yoga pose and see if it'll encourage baby away from that area if you keep doing it over time? X

Could you possibly have a prolapse, maybe from last pregnancy? I have a rectocele and sometimes feel pressure in my bum. Worried about it getting worse through this pregnancy/delivery Sad

Report
SamanthaH92 · 17/03/2018 21:05

Sure its not a prolapse. Haven't had a normal delivery only a c section due to last baby being breech. It seems to have eased off now a bit. I have drank so much water but i defiently am going to mention it to midwife xx

I've felt a lot more pressure down there with this second post cs pregnancy (that's resulted in Vulval veins Sad) that comes and goes.

I have found gently engaging my tummy muscles and pelvic floor and walking tall a lot can help. Then I get another growth spurt and it's all very uncomfortable again...

Some pregnancy Pilates exercises or yoga where they engage the pelvic floor might help. swooping cat is a good one my yoga teacher does.

Could it be braxton hicks? Since my c section they’ve been much much stronger and really early on too

Report
SamanthaH92 · 18/03/2018 12:55

I don't think its braxton hicks. I felt so much better this morning but since about an hour or so i am now uncomfortable again but its more like up my vagina (sorry tmi) very uncomfortable. Feels like somethings stuck up there. Baby is still very very low. Trying to hydrate as much as possible. My SPD is worse today as well xx

I had this until last week ( when I was 27+1) and he finally moved from lying sideways at the bottom of bump and moved upright/upside down. I was struggling to bend over even slightly, sitting upright was sooo uncomfortable and felt the pressure "down there" feeling regularly. The relief I felt when he moved was amazing!!

Report
SamanthaH92 · 18/03/2018 13:50

I am hoping she moves soon. I thought i felt a kick near my belly button but have since felt them back down low. It actually feels like i have a tampon in thats not right. I think thats the only way i can describe it and although i have felt this way before it onky ever lasted a few hours not 3 days!

Don’t suppose you have anterior placenta?
I am 21w and had my 20w scan on Friday, I asked if baby was low as I only feel movement low and I get those same kicks where it feels like her foot will come through my cervix and she said the baby isn’t low but honestly that’s where I feel her, low near my C-sect scar! When googling about movements and anterior placenta loads of people were getting the cervix kicks and pressure in the bum and we’re putting it down to placenta pushing baby more that way.
