Hi everyone I'm currently 36+4. So basically I have been really struggling with my split pelvis even just the last week or so it has intensified and sleep is definitely a thing of the past.On top of this my iron has dropped again despite being on tablets and I keep taking palpitations, dizzy spells and fainting as well as being up at triage three times in 2 weeks for reduced fetal movements. The midwife has booked me to see the consultant tomorrow morning but I am genuinely frightened of what the outcome will be - she wants to discuss induction. As much as i cannot wait for the pelvic pain to resolve my frightened they want to induce and baby isn't ready to come. Has anyone had any similar experiences and could offer some advice as to what the outcome may be?

Hi hayleymyles I definitely feel for you. I’m suffering SPD which is getting worse day by day and also cholestatis so in for weekly monitoring and bloods, added to that running around after my 2.5 yr old who also has numerous hospital appointments! It’s not easy. He doesn’t sleep either so also pretty tired!

I can’t imagine how your feeling with low iron that must suck on top! I’m being induced at 38 weeks after a natural birth with Ds1 at 41 so nervous but looking forward to it mainly to get some relief from the SPD.

The consultant may try to get you to 38/39 maybe even 40 but will only advise on what’s in the best interest of you and baby.

Good luck hope it goes ok, and your not alone x

37 weeks is full term, so if they want to induce you in a few days I think that sounds like a good idea. Baby will be fine and your misery will be over.

Sunshinesaz86 I couldn't imagine having another one to look after with the pain you must be looking forward to the end! I am looking forward to some relief I think I'm just scared of what's to come with it being my first I have no idea what to expect of labour. I had a lot of cramp this morning and lost a bit of my plug so I will mention this tomorrow and see what the consultant say... I'm just really anxious. I hope your induction goes well and you feel better pain wise soon xx

ClareB83 thank you I think I'm just anxious as I don't know what to expect. I like to be in control and unfortunately I know I cannot control what happens baby will decide Smile I've had some signs that it might not be far away this morning so I'm hoping that means baby will be ready when she does come even if it's earlier than I anticipated xx

If you’ve lost some plug and have a few cramps baby may be more ready than you think, definitely a positive sign!

I can’t say I’m particularly looking forward to induction but with OC risk of stillbirth goes up after 38 weeks so I’ll be happy to get baby out safely.

It is an anxious time not knowing what lies ahead but you’ll be fine. With my spd and ds being back to back I sat on the toilet with portable gas and air as struggled with any other position! You’ll find what works for you when the time comes x

If you are iron levels are very low they may want to try and improve this before you go into labour as very low iron levels can increase the risk of bleeding after the birth. They may suggest iron infusions to try and bring it up quickly but it does very much depend on how low it is.

Hope it all goes well op, I am sure whatever the plan it will be best for both you and baby. Not sure if you have tried SpaTone yet (you can buy it from Boots, Holland & Barrett etc.) but I swear by it for getting my iron levels up.

Relaxing2 so just back from appointment put the dizzy and fainting spells down to the low iron. They are going to start sweeps next week for one week and if nothing happens induce after this ...getting nervous now
