Need to let it out!

Long story short my boyfriend and I decided in September last year I would stop taking the pill and let nature take its course. If we got pregnant then we would be extremely happy but didn't want to start the pressure of 'trying'. Since stopping the pill my periods have been very irregular but this month it seemed to be taking a little too long to come. So on a whim we took a pregnancy test, then another 2 just to be sure lol! All 3 said positive and the clearblue digitao said pregnant 2-3. This is our first experience and we are to be truthful a little unbelieving atm. But I just needed to talk to some people who have experience. I will be going to the Dr next week to get a check up and hopefully confirmation. Sorry for the long winded post, but it is good to tell someone what is going on.

This is exactly what happened for me :) I was fed up with pumping hormones around my body on the pill and I really wasn't getting on with it. So in May last year we decided together that I'd come off it. We had a good discussion about our situation and what we would do if I fell pregnant, but we also monitored my ovulation (I was very regular) and didn't have sex mid-cycle to make some sort of effort. So we weren't trying, but also weren't not-trying.

In October we found out that we have a baby on the way and I'm now 22 weeks and I feel incredible. Admittedly it took some time to sink in, so we gave ourselves some time and patience to get our heads around it, and now we cannot wait to meet our little one :) That first booking appointment really helped confirm it all for us, and the 12 week scan even more so!

Good luck and congratulations!
