I’m booked in for my ELCS tomorrow after a truly difficult pregnancy. I can’t believe I’ve got here and I could cry with both relief and anxiety.

I’m sitting on the sofa with horrific wind (both ends) and heartburn, SPD has rendered me nearly immobile, and my BP tablets make me feel exhausted.

I’m swollen up and my baby has been discovered to have an unstable lie so for the last week he’s been turning all over the place booting me everywhere.

I’m so scared about tomorrow after my last CS which was horrid and I can barely keep it together.

I don’t even know why I’m posting. Just somewhere to let out my fears I suppose.

Hey there, so close!

Just wanted to say, I had a truly horrendous second pregnancy and a planned section for no 2 booked from 36 weeks. My first section had been an emergency, my second was very different! It was calm and relaxed. Baby cake straight to me for cuddles and delayed cord clamping.

Not sure if your history but wanted to give you some hope that chances are tomorrow will be very different to the last time you had a baby!

I’m really trying to stay positive but it’s so scary. I sometimes just wonder what the hell I’ve done but at 39 weeks it’s a bit late for that!!

I think so but I’ll need to see him first!

He’ll be so gorgeous-you’re right. Those cuddles will be worth it.

I can imagine how nerve wracking it must be but at the same time you know that this time tomorrow you'll be snuggled up with your little one all safe and sound. And at least you know that all those shitty pregnancy problems will come to an end aswell!
Hope you get lots of sleep tonight and aren't up worrying too much, sounds silly but try and enjoy tomorrow!

That’s what’s keeping me going for sure. I can’t wait to meet my second little boy. I’ll be so lucky to have them both.

And tomorrow marks the end of SPD forever which is definitely cause for celebration!

Hello all, thank you for your support - we’re both well and the op was reasonably complication-free.

My family is complete and I’m in love with my baby.

My older son came for a visit and was absolutely gorgeous with the baby - it really was lovely. I can’t wait to get home and start this fantastic new chapter in my life.
