I'm just on the cusp of 27 weeks and since about midnight last night I've had this very sharp pain on the right side of my tummy (about 2 inches away from my belly button). It feels a bit like the worst stitch I've ever had and kind of takes my breath away. It's been really awkward and sore when I move but it's also really painful when I'm just lying there. I thought it was just round ligament pain but it just seems to keep going and going and isn't feeling any better now...
I rang my local unit for advice at around 4am because I was really struggling to know what to do. They didn't sound concerned at all once they'd established I didn't have an appendix (had appendicitis when I was a teenager) and baby was still moving around, then told me to see how I go today. It was left quite vaguely.
I'm really not sure what to think: it's basically completely the same this morning and I'm not sure whether to be worried or not. Like I said, I originally thought it would be round ligament pain but it's kept going all night and is centralised to one spot, does round ligament pain do that? Has anyone had anything like this? Should I call the unit back?
Sorry to ask, just being really indecisive and it's hard to know from the conversation I had with them if I'm just being a bother or not :(
