I think I am due around October 8th. I’m very nervous due to previous miscarriages and hypermesis in my last pregnancy. I’m already feeling pretty sick and only around 5 weeks but I’m definitely pleased. Just hope the baby sticks.

This will be my 3rd which is pretty daunting in a way. How about you? Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Hi everyone.. Just recently got my BFP and according to calculations (and if everything goes smoothly) I would be due on Oct too..

I still can't believe this is happening!

SLR1906 Tue 06-Feb-18 05:59:05

Congratulations!! I feel exactly the same way, it hasnt hit me yet! Im trying my best to enjoy it despite the nerves. Hope it goes well for you

riaviolet Tue 06-Feb-18 07:52:53

@SLR1906- Congrats to you... I can't help feel very nervous.. Firstly this situation was a surprise for me and secondly I've been reading loads of experiences of mcs etc..

SLR1906 Tue 06-Feb-18 07:57:58

I totally understand, my last mc was almost 2 years ago and im very very worried. My dad told me that what will be will be and worrying will not change the outcome! I found that very helpful. Is this your first??

SLR1906 Tue 06-Feb-18 07:58:15

Ooo and thank you !! @riaviolet

riaviolet Tue 06-Feb-18 08:02:47

@SLR1906- Yes it's my first... I'm about 5w5d... I slept so badly last night due to light left sided cramping and mild headaches I've been experiencing..
I've booked a midwives appointment for 2 weeks time..

Justgotmypositive Tue 06-Feb-18 08:04:30

Congratulations @riaviolet I worry about miscarriage as well after having two previously but I try to reassure myself that statistically a pregnancy is more likely to result in a baby than a miscarriage.

riaviolet Tue 06-Feb-18 08:07:38

@justgotmypositive- Congrats on your BFP.. I will try to stay positive.. I'm on annual leave due to moving house, so by the time I'm at work tomorrow I'm sure these niggly thoughts will be pushed back at the back of my mind..

Hi. Found out yesterday I'm pregnant with my 5th. 4 previous c/s. my husband wants an abortion
I don't.
Not sure how to deal with it.

SLR1906 Tue 06-Feb-18 13:23:28

@MrsMalone1 no advice but im send lots of hugs your way. It must be awful

MrsMalone1 Tue 06-Feb-18 17:51:55

Thank you. I'm so confused. Feel like I'm putting my marriage on the line.

SLR1906 Tue 06-Feb-18 19:20:59

@MrsMalone1 thats understandable, it must be a horrible situation to be in. Is he willing to talk it through first?

Kayleigh1986 Tue 06-Feb-18 19:58:31

@MrsMalone1 I'm sorry that you are in this situation, has your husband told you why he feels this way? Sending hugs x

MrsMalone1 Tue 06-Feb-18 20:04:04

Financial mostly. He doesn't want to add more stress to our lives.
I understand his concerns. I can't get my head around an abortion though.

I am. Got a BFP this week!!! Originally thought I'd tell DH on Valentines Day but not sure I can keep it in for that long so I'm now just trying to wait it out until Friday night... Not sure I can manage it!

SLR1906 Wed 07-Feb-18 05:56:03

@MrsMalone1 thats really difficult, dont be hard on yourself which ever decision you make, trust yourself to do the right thing and take your time.

This is unrelated but when i was pregnant two years ago (ended in MC) i was really scared amd didnt know what to do so my local hospital recommended seeing a family counsellor. I felt that helped me put my head straight on what i actually wanted and what was the best thing to do. Maybe you should find someone to talk to

SLR1906 Wed 07-Feb-18 05:57:04

@brianodriscoll congrats!!! I couldnt hold of telling my DH, i rang him at work blush i needed to tell him so desperately!! Good luck hope all goes well

SLR1906 Wed 07-Feb-18 05:59:47
