Morning lovelies, just found out I am pregnant which I am over the moon about! What do I do next? And can somebody please tell me what foods I need to avoid (I'm not stupid there's just lists and stupid amounts of foods I've never even heard of) is it certain cheese, caffiene, eggs, mayo, red meats if not cooked properly? And how do I calculate how many weeks i am? My periods are all over so not reliable at all my last period was 13th December. We DTD and ovulation day was 6th Jan. Many thanks xx

Congratulations
The NHS website is a pretty reliable source of info. There are a few websites for helping calculate your dates including the Pampers one.
Yes make sure meat is properly cooked, it’s unpasteurised cheese like Brie and Camembert you need to avoid, shellfish. Eggs safest to ensure they’re cooked but actually so long as they have the lion mark on them they should be fine according to new guidelines.
They say limit your caffeine intake.

Go see your GP. Mine was useless but they’ll prescribe your folic acid which you need to start taking straight away and give you details of being referred to a midwife.

Wishing you all the best x

Congratulations! Start taking folic acid and Vit d tablets today. No need for a doctor, your local chemist with stock them

Congratulations! You need to make an appointment with the midwife. Reduce caffeine, start folic acid, no unpasteurised cheese and i think no deli meat (parma ham etc) or pate
