Anyone else stunning and sexy in pregnancy?

Because I am certainly not Grin

Put on 1.5 stone by 20 weeks.

Spent 16 weeks vomiting.

Have had diarrhoea since week 6.

Had thrush.

My bum is growing faster than my belly.

Seem to have developed cellulite over my entire body.

Have developed spots on shoulders, upper arms.

Boobs massive but feature big blue veins.

I’ve not even got the nice hair I was promised, it’s going rapidly grey and I don’t want to dye it while pregnant.

Nails are cracked and crumbling (they were rubbish pre-pregnancy too).

I did have a pedicure so at least I have nice toenails!

Anyone else as sexy as me?!

Lighthearted thread btw. I didn’t get pregnant quickly and am very grateful Smile

In my previous pregnancy I was so sexy. I had elephant ankles and feet.

They were so swollen, my toes looked like raisins Grin.

When I took my socks off at the end of the day I had deep imprints (talking maybe 1.5cm deep!) where the elastic around the top of my socks dug in!

My legs are slightly swollen (knee high boots tighter) but I’m only 22 weeks so time for it to get worse! Sad

The only glow I've got is from the thin layer of sweat that's been a permanent feature of my face for the past few months...

Only 5 weeks to go Grin

I was drop-dead gorgeous. If a double-decker bus in a frock can be gorgeous. I had morning sickness for the first 4 months, and as soon as that wore off, I had continuous heartburn. I couldn't find comfortable knickers, I seemed to grow out of bras on a daily basis, and I had a butterfly shaped chloasma mask on my face.

Yeah, I was stunning and sexy alright. Grin

Ahh I fully embrace pregnancy, weirdly it's the rare occasion I feel fairly body confident. I have a bit of a tummy when not pregnant and big boobs and bum so anything tight makes me look a bit like a sausage in a too tight skin. Just generally look a bit shit when not pregnant.

Pregnancy evens it all out nicely and I love wearing tight dresses that show off my bump and curves that I would never dream of wearing when not pregnant.

I've actually lost weight but my bump and boobs have grown quickly (17 weeks and up 3 cup sizes and a band size 😱) I have delightful red stretch marks under my boobs and have just noticed some on top too, winning, plus the beautiful blue veins (boobs aside, I love my bump and that I'm showing so much ❤️)
I have some spectacular vomits at random intervals that I can't judge to prepare for and have the opposite to you- hi there constipation!
I'm a catch!

Emma I buy knickers constantly on my lunch break. They get bigger and bigger. Desparate for a bigger bra, my current ones contain a quarter of my boobs

I think all my collagen , in fact anything that provided much structure, just left my body. I have a photo of me lying on the bed smiling lovingly at my new baby, and I swear my face just flowed out into a puddle on the bed. Actually I don't have the photo because it was horrific and I deleted it.

Another one whose bum has grown faster than the bump! And it's covered in cellulite. And my legs have turned into tree trunks as lots of weight on there which has exacerbated my existing cankles. Weirdly my boobs haven't grown that much so I don't fill out the maternity dresses that actually fit my bump and arse.

Also delighted to be pregnant obviously! And love the bump.

I'm a glowing beauty at 32 weeks! My hair is thick and growing at an amazing rate, my skin is clear, I've only gained 2.5kg and it's all bump, my boobs are amazingly firm and ample.

However the piles, farts, burping and shits aren't as beautiful Grin

26 weeks and look like shit.
Put on over 2 stone.
With my first I stayed skinny throughout with a lovely football type bump. Now I'm just wobbly and have cellulite even on my tummy.
My farts stink so bad my 2yo actually thought he'd shit himself
Embarrassing or what
I used to be such a girl and now I'm just past caring . I'll care once baby is out Smile

Yup! I’m feeling just as sexy!

Horrific constipation for 25 weeks and then daily diarrhoea from then until now.

Morning sickness until week 17.

35 weeks and have put on 2 stone! (Bump, thighs and face)

Farts that are bad enough to knock out a horse!

I no longer walk...I waddle.

I’m surprised my husband can even be in the same room as me without jumping on me WinkGrin

Flatulence, and a linea nigra that curves around my belly button rather than going through it (wtf?!)

So sexy!

I felt more beautiful than ever and truth be told got a fair bit of attention but I don't think that sexy is a word that anyone would every have used to describe me. I gained a lot of weight. But on the plus side my skin was great and my breast were massive!

My third pregnancy and third time I’ve swollen up like a melon and waddled around like a penguin with my messy dry hair and lived in pjs... and my MIL keeps saying “you’ll be glowing soon”. Haha Grin

no my love, no I will not. It’s a myth.

I had a huge belly (DS eventually came out as 8lb 13) full of water that seeped into the rest of my body. Felt like Veruca Salt when she eats that gum.

Also piles. Also sweat. Also stubby toes and broken nails. Also veiny.

On the other hand, my best mate looks absolutely amazing pregnant, really suits her. Glowing skin, glossy hair, good nails, looks fab in her maternity stuff....BUT she is 6 months and still having extreme morning sickness bless her. They've given her medication but it doesn't make a lot of difference.

She can't keep much down so she's not putting on a lot of weight, however baby is growing fine from scans which is obviously good news/ As she said, at least she looks great in her maternity clothes to compensate the awful constant vomiting!

19 weeks and I already hate my body this time round. I’ve gained so much weight Sad. Last time I had pre eclampsia and ballooned, I looked terrible.

Clearly pregnancy isn’t for me.

Report
fastfrank · 16/01/2018 10:22

I gained weight fast, had what I now know was pre eclampsia so was massively swollen, morning sickness for about 18 weeks, inches of roots (grey and natural colour), manky achy sweaty feet, was boiling hot and then we had a heatwave, bras didn't fit so had to get those awful non-wired ones. The list could go on and on. I felt horrific! The feeling after you leave hospital and start to get your body back (kind of) is wonderful.

I honestly thought your post was going against the grain of the usual posts I reply to where we all get together and have a good moan because I wondered what it would be like to actually feel that way...
DC3 for me. I am 30 weeks tomorrow. I got married during my first pregnancy and the wedding photos show that at 5/6 months I was glowing...so it can be done! Fast forward 11 years:
Piles
Constipation
Veins on legs and breasts
Horrible nausea for the first 14 or so weeks including retching around the place
Grumpy (tired/not sleeping properly) irritable and will cry on a frequent and unpredictable basis...allowances made by dh for constant mood swings. Poor kids probably don't know if they are coming or going.
Daily injections of blood thinners so thighs covered in bruises
Hobbling about because old hip injury has flared up
spots that come and go
Hair that just seems to flop and consist of split ends (oh yes battling the grey hair by naughtily plucking out odd strands)
Enormous backside...I lost nearly two stone pre pregnancy (weep) and daren't get back on the scales. Not helped by overdosing on chocolate.
The list could go on but quite frankly this is depressing enough!
Most people tell me I look well though!!??!

This post is brilliant!! My previous pregnancy I got stretch marks everywhere and when I mean everywhere I am not joking! You name a place and I got them there! Also the piles appeared and then with this pregnancy it’s like they have a life of their own! I am so sexy right now! On another note in the first trimester brushing my teeth made me so sick that at night time I couldn’t face it so went to bed with furry teeth as I was too exhausted to be throwing up before bed!

I am so surprised my husband is still around to be fair! Haha! He only has another 24 weeks to put up with this!
