Intense itching feet, dangerous?

For the past two nights I've been up all night with the soles of my feet itching intensely. There is no rash there, the skin looks completely normal but no amount of lotion or cream calms it down. I've been doing some googling and it says it could be a Sytem of obstetric cholestatis which can cause still Borns? Sad

Anyone had any experience of this with the itching only in the soles of your feet? I'm hoping it's nothing serious.

I had a couple of bouts of this around the 36 week mark of my pregnancy, but after a day of worrying whether to call the Dr it wemt away on it's own. If I were you I would definitely go to your Dr or midwife. Hopefully it's nothing, but it could be something serious so it's best to get checked out

Get seen today and get your bloods checked.

Believe this can be a symptom of obstetric cholesterol. You really should have it checked.

Cholestasis, not cholesterol. Stupid autocorrect.

Definitely go and get checked today. I had obstetric cholestasis with both my pregnancies. No need to panic but if you have it you will need more careful monitoring.

Get it checked, but fwiw I have this in the third trimester each time I'm pregnant and it's not OC, just a side effect of the increased blood flow to the area and the sensitive skin pregnancy gives you.

It could be just skin irritation however, I've literally just been diagnosed with Cholestatis started with intense itching (came on very quickly) hands/feet were last to start.

They need to check your liver function and bile acids through bloods, get onto your MW today failing that your maternity unit.

I've been told now I'll be induced around 37 weeks have weekly bloods and monitoring and also on medication.

Good luck holly x

Hope all went well - I was diagnosed with this at 38+6 and was induced due to the risk of stillbirth. There’s not much research on it but they do it if you’re past term better to be safe than sorry, if your liver function tests are even slightly raised.
