Pets and the bump

I was wondering how everyone’s pets are coping with all of the changes?
My two lap dogs aren’t happy there’s less room on my lap but are acting like my personal body guards, escorting me everywhere. I’m not sure if they’ve sensed a change or have worked out that the pregnant lady pretty much always has food in her hands and if they look really cute they might be in with a chance of a bite 😂 I’ve caught the older dog napping on the nursery a few times to as though he’s waiting for his new buddy.

Awww sounds like they can't wait 😊.
Am around 9 weeks but kind worried how my dog will be. She's 14 and it has always been her and my bf until i came along 😂 now a baby will be here. I keep telling my bf that if we keep giving lots of love and attention when the baby is here hopefully she'll be okay

One of my dogs lays his head on me most evenings to be booted in the head by bump. He wags his tail when he gets kicked, I am loving this.

They don't love me in the same way as they used to though as my OH has been taking them for most of their walks, im just sofa cuddles worthy Grin.

One of mine won't leave me alone. I'm a bit paranoid about them jumping about when I'm sat down though

Also one dog gets annoyed if the cat sits on me

One dog couldn't have cared less, I think he even went off me when pregnant. The other wanted to sit with me all the time and be close. She also got very nervous the last few weeks, pacing around at night etc. As soon as baby came she was sleeping like a log again. Glad someone was! Give the dog time to adjust and good luck

It’s nice to know your dog carried on as normal when the baby arrived tealandteal.

I’m sure mine will be ok when he’s here. To be honest they aren’t too bothered with our friends babies. They just move out of reach of the babies get a bit grabby. Our friends 2yo has our pug in a chokehold was cuddling our pug at Christmas and he wasn’t fussed at all. Fingers crossed they’re the same with our baby.
