Shouting during pregnancy

Morning all, first time mum here so hence the odd questions!

I'm just over 16 weeks, currently work in a school and although on the whole I'm a calm, laid back person who preaches positivity there's some days I really have to raise my voice in class and I feel guilty for getting cross incase it has an effect on my baby... As I'm typing this I'm feeling more and more ridiculous so perhaps this is just a pregnant lady rant 🤔😂 but when little joey is eating glue... For fun... One can not raise their voice lol
Any one had their shouty days... Sometimes very shouty and produced a happy little human? X

Iv got an 8 year old at home and a 3 year old who cause me to have a few “shouty” days I think they wait until I got that point to listen if I’m honest Hmm
But babies I’m still carrying seem fine.
My three year old is a bundle of energy and his sister when I was carrying him was a pre schooler who was more adventurous shall we say and had a few shouty days. So I’m sure bubs will be fine!

I had this worry too - also a teacher! My little bubs is the most contented soul in the world so don't worry. As a bonus he doesn't even flinch if I shout at the dog while he is sleeping / eating (dog is barky with a tendency to scratch furniture, sometimes a quick sharp shout is needed, I'm not a harridan I promise!)

What kind of thing are you worried about with the shouting? The noise? The stress? Honestly the baby will be fine. They can withstand much higher levels of noise tucked up in there. I'm also a teacher but have been to see Mogwai during both pregnancies and that's way noisier than a classroom!

Have a think about the circumstances that women have healthy babies- warn zones, prisons, extreme poverty, domestic violence.... you'll be fine disciplining another child while preggo!

@intelinside you make such a good point, never thought of that, I was worried about stress but my issues are defo miniscule compared to others x

It made me feel so much better when I thought about adversity that others go through and made me relax x

It's fine, shouldn't even register as a concern.

I'm also a teacher and do have to shout often. I have been worried about bubs but hope it will just mean her being a chilled out baby! My son was super chilled so hope it's the effect of him being exposed to shouty teacher mum! I remember when he was a few months old and I took him to a restaurant for a meal with family. The fire alarm went off and we all watching him expecting him to wake up and freak out but he stayed asleep and didn't even flinch!
