Currently pregnant and no one knows but me and my DH. We have the 20 week scan on the 21st of December. Hoping all goes well and we can find out the gender. We haven't told anyone as of yet as we suffered through two previous miscarriage, we were originally going to tell people after the first scan but decided to wait. As a lot of family issue were going off.

Anyway were are having a big christmas dinner at our house including my parents and my DH's parents. We want to tell everyone in one go about the baby, but would love for our other two children to be involved in telling people (Both 2 and 4 months). Douse anyone have any ideas?

Aww congratulations! I'm tempted to wait until 20 weeks too. mmc last time and I'm so nervous. I'm 11w at the moment. There are loads of lovely ideas on Pinterest, try searching for birth announcements.... New baby announcement... Good luck 😁

Congratulations!

Btw it’s sex, not gender.

There are a lot of ideas on the internet. You could go and search for them like on youtube some do record their moments of surprise. I'm happy for you and your family. Congratulations! :)

You have a 20week scan AND a four month old. Crikey. Congratulations!

I’m not sure what you could do. I was pregnant last Christmas, and the fact that I felt too grim to eat anything was announcement enough.

You could announce it with an announcement? Like, teach your DCs a little line to say when you give them a cue, or something

Could you put scan photo in crackers that the children pull with them?

Put it in a cracker!

I was also going to suggest doing home made crackers and put a note in each cracker. In fact, you can prob slip it in to normal crackers.

If you want your kids to be involved you could have them do a countdown till everyone pulls the crackers at the same time.

Sorry, just read your children's ages, maybe no countdown then! Haba

We thought of giving mums an extra little gift after dinner with a babygrow from eBay that says surprise you are going to be grandparents. Baby x due x.

Other idea was Christmas cracker

Other idea was okay that game when you stick a name on forehead and when everyone looks up yours says “pregnant”

We are now going for huge helium balloons then two little kids in family are going to open the box in front of everyone. Inside lots of balloons and a big baby shape ballon! X

Cheaper idea is a Christmas card with scan photo which says “congrats you are going to be grandparents/a cousin / an Aunty etc again on eBay
