How long do stretching pains last?

I'm 19 weeks and have constant period type cramps quite low down right in the middle. I've had it for the past 3 hours.

This is my second pregnancy, but I lost the first at 12 weeks, so I'm not sure if I'm worrying over nothing?

I've had a lot of pains all the way through this pregnancy but usually they are quite sharp and to one side. Is it normal to last this long??

3 hours is a long time, call up your Midewife or maternity unit.

I’d phone midwife. I sneezed yesterday and had a stitch in my womb for a good 5 minutes, turned later on and it was for a good 5 minutes again. That’s quite long as far as I’m aware! 3 hours i would definitely call a midwife but chances are it’s nothing to worry about Flowers

For period like cramps that go on past the first few weeks I agree - please speak to your midwife. I am sure it will be nothing but best to get checked. You should have your 20 week scan soon too?

IMO stretching pains later on are short, sharp, on one side rather than in the middle, and more muscular than period feeling, if that makes sense. But everybody is different which is why your midwife will be able to help.

Lots of luck.
