Fanny hurts

Hannabee123 · 16/11/2017 23:19

Almost 35 weeks and feeling like I've been kicked in the fanny.
Kind of feels like I'm bruised from the waist down to thighs.
Anyone else had this unpleasantness? Getting fed up now

Hannabee123 · 16/11/2017 23:23

Aww there's a lot of pressure down there in the last few weeks. I felt sore and heavy down there too. Maybe a well wrapped ice pack?

WeShouldOpenABar · 16/11/2017 23:27

Mine too, I don't have a solution I just want you to know you're not alone Sad

Hannabee123 · 16/11/2017 23:48

A friend of mine used to call this cricket bat fanny! I.e. it feels like you’ve stood with your legs open whilst someone whacked you with a cricket bat! 😂
The joys of pregnancy!!
Hope it eases soon.

Hannabee123 · 17/11/2017 00:08

That sounds so accurate 😂😂😭

Hot water bottle or a wheat bag thing between your legs? I mean I know your probably not supposed to but i did! And paracetamol.
And yes cricket bat fanny is a good descriptionGrin

Lozmatoz · 17/11/2017 04:08

It’s just the pressure. Don’t worry. It’s horrible, I know.

Hannabee123 · 17/11/2017 06:59

I still have a couple of weeks to go yet too oh dear 😭

I get this at the end of the day, heaviness and my pubic bone throbs. :-(

jmscp2015 · 17/11/2017 08:32

You are not alone Flowers I’m 39+2 and get this and a serious case of the fanny daggers daily! Lol

Hannabee123 · 17/11/2017 08:35

You are so close to meeting your little one now though! Aww 😃
Well I'm relieved im not the only one suffering it does just feel like someone's whacked you between the legs guess it's surprised me I always thought it would be more sort of hip pain instead of fanny pain Hmm

Oh crikey, yes I have this. I'm only 28 weeks though Shock

Also, it's not really acceptable to say 'my fanny hurts' like you might announce a headache so no one can offer sympathy.

Sassy306 · 17/11/2017 19:51

My sister and I are both pregnant and we refer to this as "lightning crotch" lol

Phoenix76 · 17/11/2017 23:33

My midwife actually referred to it as lightning crotch sassy306 so there must be something in that! I was telling the midwife it was intolerable and she said yes, it's well known! I asked her what on earth was causing that and she said they believe it's the cervix moving about, oh the joys of pregnancy, I had this delightful experience with both my pregnancies. The good news is I can chuckle about it now, not helpful sorry!

Hannabee123 · 18/11/2017 12:11

Lightning crotch 😂 I have both fanny pain and rib pain now. The whinging continues 😓
